They should focus on religious child circumcision instead.

On a male it's about cleanliness. That's why my people did it. Not because of religion.

A doctor outlines the dangers of transgender surgery & drugs for children:

My brother, the director of a pediatric hospital,  has been saying that sex change surgeries and mind altering drugs to control behavior has been wrong since they started doing it and I agree.

Does it have to be 'instead'? Both need to be made illegal IMO.

I'm happy to have foreskin, and I never had hygiene problems due to it. I don't buy that argument.

You don't live in a forest with the nearest hospital 300 miles away.

Please elaborate how exactly that makes foreskin a problem...?

Infected sheaves happen. I've had to take care of several myself.

Do you have any medical training?

Nope. But the doctors I've talked to, say that it's extremely rare to have problems with your foreskin.

What about female circumcision? That's pretty horrific and has no medical reason.

City doctors where I'm sure infection is not a problem.

In poor rural areas it is. Abscesses are common.

That's different. But cutting a abscess off a penis under a sheaf is a issue because they can't or won't keep it clean.

If you say so. But it's news to me. Never heard of it till now.

It's not like CNN or Fox frequents areas like that.

Maybe you should get out more.

I think on average you're more likely to get infection if not circumsized.

But if you keep yourself clean, like in your case, it isn't much of an issue.

Either way I don't think it is a big issue lol

Back to the subject (if possible):

Quote

First, do no harm. Hanne Gaby Odiele, an intersex person, speaks about the harmful physical and emotional effects of surgical procedures physicians told her were necessary. Her advocacy work encourages therapy and peer support rather than medical and surgical treatment “that is often irreversible and sometimes unnecessary”. For a first-person account of how another child's mind can lead him/her to decisions later regretted please read this story (there are others) of a teen transitioner who de-transitioned at age 22. https://4thwavenow.com/tag/detransition/

Evidently many doctors prefer to follow the PC crowd rather than put the well-being of the child first.

Sure - all doctors are saintly and devoid of ambition, mistaken diagnoses & self-centeredness.

How about this -"Evidently some doctors prefer to follow the PC crowd rather than put the well-being of the child first."

Actually when insurance companies are involved it's about making money. That's why Indian and ghetto health clinics push scripts and surgeries that people don't need. It has nothing to do with following a crowd.

Like I said oh "Armchair Enlightened One". Get out more....

You do understand that the Hippocratic Oath is seen as a binding contract. Even if it is stupid, as doctors can't use a knife, carry out abortions and I think they can't carry out euthanasia. But however, I firmly believe that the very vast majority of doctors abide by the Universal tenant of Do No Harm.
