Burning snake in the sky..

I was walking trough a library and I saw an old book. I grabbed it from the bookcase and started to red it. It was A book with small stories, like muths, but then more real. It was in old Dutch. There was a story about a burning snake that was seen in the sky in 1789. The "burning Snake returned three months later. I think that it waa a comet, but could it have been an UFO? What do you think??

Hmm.

You say that the burning snake appeared, then reappeared three months later, and not again afterwards, I assume?

It is already a Ufo by nature since it was unexplained.

If it was a comet, it could have:

1.Come in from the comet cloud and approached the sun on a close trajectory.

2.Became snared in the sun's gravity and trapped in a gravity spiral.

3.Got drawn into the sun itself.

In that scenario, the comet could have been visible on its initial approach, and again on its circle around the sun, only to be swallowed before a third sighting.

It's just a theory. ???

But if it was an alien craft, why the two visits?

Hmmm.

Hope that helps? ;)

Well, they abducted someone and then brought him/her back.. ;D

The weird part was that they saythat it looked like a snak. I don't relly know what they mean with it. Was it straigh or was it excactly like a snake.

Well, it could have been the northern lights if I would live on a place where you can see them. In the Netherlands they aren't visible, so, other opinions?
