Bizarre objects 'coughed up' by US geyser

Many visitors to Yellowstone flip a coin into a geyser - but a recent record breaking eruption has revealed the other bizarre objects that have been thrown in.

After Ear Spring, a hot spring in the park, erupted on September 15, park employees found a strange mix of objects close to the spring, ranging from several cans to a 1930s pacifier.

The eruption was the largest recorded since 1957, and  some of the objects are 'clearly historic' officials say, and will be placed in Yellowstone's archives.

Some historic garbage. Nice to see Yellowstone is self cleaning.

The old ring tabs from cans, which people use to choke on, are now considered "artifacts" because of their age and you can by law, be arrested for picking one up on Federal Land.

A geyser at Yellowstone National Park has again become active, after going dormant in 1957. It's also spewing garbage, including a cement block, cans and a baby pacifier from the 1930's. Many coins. Park Rangers are displaying the items in hope they can teach people not to throw things into the warm springs and geysers. They do not disappear.
