Still Waters Posted October 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2018 An Indian bus driver has been suspended - for letting a monkey "drive" his bus. This is despite not one of the 30-or-so passengers on board the vehicle in southern Karnataka state complaining about their furry chauffeur. However, when a video of the relaxed - and apparently competent - langur monkey taking the wheel went viral, the human driver's employers took action. The safety of passengers cannot be put at risk by "allowing a monkey on the steering" wheel, a spokesman said. Somewhat unsurprisingly, this has not been an entirely popular decision with internet users delighted by the short clip. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-45772168 https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=7Cty9TfQb84 3

Taun Posted October 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2018 I agree that he should have been reprimanded... Everyone knows that monkeys are only allowed to used as substitutes for politicians... 2

aztek Posted October 9, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) Just now, seanjo said: The driver is driving, the Monkey is sitting on the steering wheel. yep pretty clear the driver is steering, the monkey is just siting there, not controlling anything. however it could be a distraction, but it is nothing compared to what bus drivers in Russia do. try driving, smoking, talking on the phone, drinking beer, and collect fare Edited October 9, 2018 by aztek 1
