Jenn8779 Posted October 10, 2018 #52 Share Posted October 10, 2018 I also wonder how much sweeteners contribute to skin conditions as well as stomach problems. A guy I work with slugs energy drinks all day and he has bad eczema

We never could figure out why he had it because he was always careful with his diet and never used any artificial anything if he could help it. He was a tea drinker and didn't use milk or sugar in it either

I miss having a good meal, it's nothing but soup now and the occasional ramen (no favor pack), because that's all I can handle. Last time I had real honey it cost $15 a jar, mixed it with bragg's apple cider vinegar and water. This problem killed my grandmother even after 3 major surgeries, figure it'll take me too. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this...it's not fair and I hope you find out what's causing it and can clear it up 1

Was reading not long ago on long term effects of stress and it's not good Stressful period started in November of 2012, my grandmother died. Then a bunch of personal stuff happened, my wife developed ovarian cancer about 2 years after that and is still receiving treatments. I woke up at 3 am with severe abdominal pain. Thought I need to use the bathroom, or I had terrible gas. Pain subsided till I went to work and it almost doubled, thought it was my appendix. Went to the hospital, blood work was fine, got microwaved and told I had diverticulitis. The very thing that killed my grandma. I ate a diet for divers but the pain still came and went. Now the stomach issues as well.... even if stress isn't the major factor I'm sure it isn't helping.

Harvey's on Rt. 77 in Pittsgrove. It is a little hike for you but they sell big containers. The honey from the hives on the bogs is sometimes poisonous because the bees gather pollen from the rhododendrons and they don't sell it. That's why it's scarcer up by you.

The Ellis-Benke study said we can eat soy because a combination of genetics, it's often fermented and because of the amount of fish we eat. In a Gaijin diet it's no good. I've been avoiding soy except when I fry eel. You can't have fried eel without teriyaki sauce....

Liver, gall bladder digestive system is all tied and regulated by your microbiome. Everything was giving me heartburn and I spent half the day on the can for the first 6 months I was out of prison. I just started sucking down raw goat milk and fresh yogurt from one of the Mexicans I knew. Were they Monster energy drinks you were drinking? No "woo" involved just a certain level of sensitivity but when you are a real martial artist ( not that American crap) your sensitive to your body's need due to hyper alertness. I knew what was going on the last few months in prison when my rheumatic arthritis started going crazy and my body started rejecting the prison milk. The prison doctor there thought I had developed Crohns and I did develop celiacs. My legs would swell up so painfully I was dragging myself around my ruined farmhouse by my elbows and I would force my mounted trooper boots on because I couldn't even stand in sneaker, so I could go out for food. 1

My body has been addicted to sugar and caffeine since I was a baby, I listened to my body and the cravings are very hard wired into me. I have tried and failed way too many times to count to break this habit.

I was always given caffeine for my migraines but my grandparents and uncle denied me sugar because it doesn't mix with our genes. By the time I was a adult sugar was gross. Olive oil and tumeric every day.

When people use to ask me what was the best diet, I would say "eat right" and stay away from the trash. yeah it´s not very good to live on the see food diet, I eat what I see... I once was on the LCHF diet and lost 12kg in two months but since it also contains much diary products i noticed that I started to feel sick and the problem is that you can be lactose sensitive without being lactose intolerant and it doesn´t have to show on the test, in the end I had to cut down on the diary products and is now eating some sort of LCHF variant lots of vegetables !!! my weight also changed to the better when started to practise martial arts. I'd rather make the hike honestly. And I never thought about the possibility of poison from the pollen. Thanks for that warning too!
