Stormy Daniels' Case Thrown Out

Just saw a news release that Stormy Daniels' case against Donald Trump has been thrown out of court by a Federal Judge. She has been ordered to pay his legal fees. Didn't see this posted anywhere yet so I put it here.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/judge-throws-out-stormy-danielss-lawsuit-against-trump/2018/10/15/402935e8-d0cc-11e8-b2d2-f397227b43f0_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.bc9e8f45e07c

Avenatti says he will file for a reversal.

If I understand the situation correctly, this disposes only of the second lawsuit, alleging that Trump's tweet, the one that forcefully denied the news interview story about a man who threatened Ms Daniels, defamed her. The first Daniels-Trump action, the one involving Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen, hush-money payments during the 2016 campaign, etc. is still on (I think).

Yes, it's still on. Also, Daniels' lawyer has filed a notice of appeal on the defamation ruling.

and they will lose appeal and request for reversal will be thrown out.  no need a crystal; ball to see it,  just like it was clear before she has no case

Today's Twitter exchanges between Trump, Daniels and Avenatti were something else.

Trump calls Stormy Daniels 'Horseface'
President Trump on Tuesday called adult-film star Stormy Daniels "Horseface" and threatened to "go after" her after he won a court victory over his alleged mistress.

hilarious article, comments are the best, not a single one i found was supporting her, or another horseface

Disparaging women by making fun of their appearance hardly merits chuckles. It is disgusting and unacceptable.

Trump may have a long history of mocking women, but that's no reason to emulate his behaviour.

So Stormy will need to make a re-enactment adult video to help pay the fees?

The guy has been the focus of near-hysterical attacks from every quarter for a couple of years.  I'd say he's been a bit reserved compared to what the average person might do.  If people can't laugh at all this madness they might really respond in significantly worse ways.  It doesn't mean the average person that laughs at his antics would behave the same way.  FWIW, I think he paid her for sex, paid her to remain quiet about it and she broke the deal so she could make MORE $.  She deserves NO sympathy.  It's not like she was working as a librarian when they met.

Frankly, they both behaved badly when they met, by my standards anyway.

But it's not a matter of sympathy. It's a matter of behaving in a manner that is both civil and as respectful as possible under the circumstances.

Did you get a chance to read their tweets from today? You might have a difficult time believing that they were written by adults.

Cry me a river.  They're public figures, one is a despicable un-humorus comic who I despised waaaay before the whole trump head thing (incase you think that's why I don't like her) and the other is a porn star/over priced prostitute.  Oh but whatever you do don't disparage women because they are delicate and perfect and don't fart. Go find something offensive to be offended by.

Live your own life, I'm not changing for you.  These people have made of themselves targets and I've got a box of high caliber smack to throw down.

Lol What a world we're living in. The President of the US is in a Twitter war with an ex-porn star who he cheated on his wife with and illegally paid off. A woman who has previously told the world that his wee ding-a-ling looks like Toad from Mariokart.

I mean if this show was made in 2015 no one would watch because it would be too unrealistic. It's beyond Dark Mirror's Prime Minister ****ing a pig.

And Republicans love it. Aren't in the slightest bit embarrassed. This is dystopia material.

illegally paid off

That has yet to be determined as it is perfectly legal for him to contribute to his own campaign, and paying hush money is not against the rules.

But yeah, everything else you posted...perfect!

He was an unindicted co-conspirator in a case where the man he directed to commit the crime plead guilty. But I guess we can leave that discussion for another thread :D

This is a woman who's only marketable asset has been her looks. Obviously her acting isn't going to garner her an Oscar. The most strategic blow is one that hits where the money comes from. Calling her unattractive hits her (and her sleezeball lawyer) right in the pocketbook. And if course the lawyer is going to appeal, she can't afford to pay Trumps lawyer fees much less his. That's all he's in it for.

I wouldn't call the smack you've thrown down thus far 'high caliber'.

Oh dear...

I think that publically making fun of Trump's 'manhood' like this could actually alienate more men than it amuses -
stirring up insecurities like this could actually backfire and take more votes away from the Democrats...

I also doubt that many women would identify with Stormy Daniels and Kathy Griffin..
So yet again the Democrats could be shooting themselves in the foot with all this...

Hmmm..... so lets see.. we have a porn start who sleeps around, who tried to make money by breaking an agreement and smearing the president, and who's case has been highly promoted by the left-wing media ?

Nope.. can't see anything sleazy THERE. Nothing for Democrat voters to feel uneasy about ?

Oh.. and Avenatti.. or however you spell it. You know how he immediately vowed to appeal the decision to the 9th Circuit ?

Well.. so far.. he hasn't. What does THAT tell us about the strength of his case, kiddies ?
