Yeah but he did that on my time, on my dime in a house paid for by we the people...not to mention the house he was living in with his wife and daughter at the time. The most prestigious room in the most prestigious building in the world used to overwhelm a young, innocent girl.

unfortunately they really do not need any evidence beyond a report,  they do not necessarily will look for you to arrest, they will call you and ask to come for an interview to a police station,  once you are there 99% you will be arrested, you never go to such interviews without a lawyer.

of course if there is a beat up women right in front of them it is a different story

There was. I'm sure she was taken to the hospital and her injuries documented. For it to be classified a felony, it had to meet criteria, including being the result of assault and battery. I've seen references to her face being swollen. I guess we'll see.

It seems when police arrived her face was swollen and bruised. TMZ erroneously reported her as his wife, something Avenatti intends to take legal action for. The Post says the assault had happened the night before and that no charges were officially made.

Thanks, still no info as to what the actual claim was though. I hope folks just let the process play out.

I did find this bit confusing.

Avenatti was detained on a felony domestic-violence charge but was released later that day on $50,000 bail and was not officially charged with a crime.

How can you force someone to pay bail if theyre not charged? I've been ordered to not leave the state twice due to legal actions and never forced to pay bail.

Avenatti is out on $50,000 bail and a hearing is set for December 10.

I do have to say that the suing TMZ thing makes sense. They have basically actively worked for Trump since he threw his hat in the ring.

I don't know. The second link I posted from heavy says police referred the case to the District Attorney's office. Maybe they put on some kind of a charge. When I first heard about this everyone was saying he was arrested for felony domestic abuse.

Me too! I honestly just assumed it was true. Now that I think about it though TMZ being the source does raise my eyebrows a bit.

That's kind of weird because TMZ is all entertainment and celebrity reporting.

No. They just reported this woman was Avenatti's estranged wife, which isn't true. They weren't the source of the arrest reports. Avenatti, of course, is strongly denying this. Stormy Daniels has said she will fire him if these charges are shown to be true.

Trump and TMZ's owner are amigos. They did the same thing the Russian trolls did, when a negative Trump story came out they pumped the airways full of negative Hillary stories to try and drown them out.

TMZ Goes MAGA: How Harvey Levin’s Gossip Empire Became Trump’s Best Friend

Quote

When the Access Hollywood tape of Donald Trump emerged in the home stretch of the 2016 election, it should have been a gift from the tabloid gods for TMZ.

Instead, the celebrity gossip website went into overdrive to help Trump.

Within a week of the tape’s explosion, TMZ ran “exclusive” after “exclusive” giving Trump cover. There was a story that Bill Clinton made “disparaging remarks” about women when he played golf with Trump—as Trump claimed Clinton did when the tape dropped. Another story claimed NBC executives “had a plan to time the release” of the tape to sink Trump. There was also an item from a former Miss Teen USA saying she never had a bad experience with Trump after he was accused of leering at *spam filter* backstage.

It shouldn’t have been a surprise: It was the result of a cozy relationship between TMZ founder and boss Harvey Levin and Trump, who called each other throughout the campaign, seven sources told The Daily Beast.

She should and honestly depending on what the story is she shouldn't wait for the outcome of the court case.

The lack of details is annoying me...I want answers NOW damnit

This report from People Magazine says TMZ originally reported that it was Avenatti's ex-wife who filed the report. It wasn't. Trying to find something linking him with this actress and can't so far.

A Judge has granted Miniutti a restraining order. She says she's been dating him for over a year and living with him since January. She gave her version of the story.

Avenatti’s Ex-Girlfriend Mareli Miniutti: He Violently Dragged Me Out of Bed, Called Me a ****ing B*tch

If youve ever seen an interview with him just imagine adding alcohol and the scenario she lays out sounds quite plausible.

Her version of events also leads them into public spaces where there have to be cameras so I dont think this will necessarily stay a she said-he said situation.
