Soros dumped how many billions in to his "humanitarian" groups?

NYTimes - George Soros Transfers Billions to Open Society Foundations

Quote

George Soros, the billionaire hedge fund manager and a major Democratic donor, has given $18 billion(!) to his Open Society Foundations, one of the largest transfers of wealth ever made by a private donor to a single foundation.

Soros' wealth is literally built on others' misery.

Soros is most known as the man who 'broke the Bank of England', following his successful bet against the pound in 1992. Sources state that Soros pocketed around one billion dollars from the trade.

According to the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, Soros had shorted Norwegian Air several times since the turn of the year, when the stock was trading around 234 NOK. The position was a success at first, as the share price plummeted down to 161 NOK in late March.

Those are not people in the caravan. It's a protest in Honduras against the US response.

Subtle difference, but still different to your claim.

If you read the description below the picture it says that.

You're so smart. What would this forum do without you?

I'm so glad the people coming here get such a grand and supportive sendoff from the folks back home. I can almost hear them yelling Go get 'em boys!

Have to learn to read?

I'm so very sorry if I embarrassed you by pointing out your mistake. Would you rather I ignored it so you can stay in your safe space away from criticism?

Well, according to one newspaper report, the Mexican government has now stated that there are 14,000 "migrants" on the move towards the border with the USA, in three separate groups.

Even if the USA does manage to stop them at the border, this is going to cause economic chaos. Around 500,000 people, and 4000 commercial trucks,  commute across that border (entirely legally) every day to get to work. If the migrants block the border crossings, this means that 500,000 people aren't going to be able to get into work, and companies won't have any staff ! Thousands of tons of produce will be blocked.

Yeeeeees... that worked SO well in Afghanistan, didn't it ? :D

We weren't trying to make Afghanistan part of the U.S.A,  So your answer was pointless.

So, seeing as you're unable to defend your claim, I take it you're withdrawing it and recognise it for the utter bull**** it is?

Headline grabbing and not reading the content. Now you know why CNN, and the like, sensationalize news headlines. People read the headline and not the contents there in. The end result is angry people with no real reason to be.

Here in the states, the socialist have taken over the media. I didn't think it could happen. I thought no one here really wants socialism do they? Then I find out my younger brother is a Democratic Socialist. He's my brother and I love him so I didn't say Democratic Socialism sounded like an oxymoron.

Agreed. Except I'd say it applies much more to the wannabe news outlets like info wars than mainstream media.

That's because you don't understand what socialism actually means. That seems to be the case for most Conservatives in the US. You've been taught to equate socialism with communism. They are not the same thing. Which is why democracy and socialism are not mutually exclusive.

In the UK, we have socialism. We also have a representative democracy. In the US, you already have socialism to a lesser degree, you just don't recognise it.

rail camera is such an easy target, i predict it will be down most of the time, they need many small vandal proof cameras every thousand feet or so,

With a dummy [[[fake] automated turret of sorts.

No reply necessary i just liked that idea and had a quick revelation is all.

Well, I find trying to have intelligent debate with someone who sulks when they make a mistake incredibly dull so at least it's mutual.

Fact check yourself next time and save the embarrassment.

Yes I know I was wrong. It's not embarrassing. Those are still some of the same people trying to get here and I'm not a fan of buring our flag while insinuating we're nazis.

You harp on the littlest things. It's called nagging. Nagging is for negative people. Negative people are boring.

So, here, you admit you were wrong, then repeat the same lie.

Good job :tu:

And if my 'nagging' (calling out your lies) is boring you, maybe try to check facts first so I don't have to call you out so often? Save us both a lot of boredom.

It's not a lie. It is of my opinion that some of the people coming here hold the same ideals as the flag burners. That's all I've been trying to say for the last few posts you old hen.

Curious.  Sefton, what do you think we should do about 14,000-18,000 migrants heading out way?

Maybe they think we are better than MS13.

Maybe they should organize and try to take on MS13.  Is it America's role in the world to be a haven for destitute millions?  When our economy fails under the strain, where do they go then?  I'm tired of people trying to guilt us over the billions in this world who will not even try to stand up to their own failures of government.  America has done more for them than any other nation ever has.  When we're a failed memory, then what?

Maybe they are.  MS-13 originated in the US after all.  Maybe they are headed to the source to wipe it out?

And maybe you should lay off whatever it is you're smoking.  They come to suck the cream.  THAT'S what they come for and Democrats and Republican politicians both love it.

Solent Nachos.

I wonder what the whole economic calculus involving the illegal migrants is, they must be a source of cheap labour, and not being able to claim social welfare, not such a burden.
