One God - Three Religions

Judaism, christianity and islam all share the same God, but they differ in age.

Judaism is 3,000 years old
Christianity is 2,000 years old
Islam is 1,400 years old

So the question is: Is newer better? Or is older better?
Did God make mistakes that he had to correct, or are the never versions human alterations?

As I understand this God, he's perfect, error-free and makes no mistakes, but according to christianity and islam he did. Or what?

Please help this poor lost soul understand!

Abraham's 3 disfunctional children. The Jews seem to have it together the most. The other 2 just seem like "cults" originating from the first one.

That's a outside perspective though.

"Holy wars" are about the stupidest thing that humanity came up with. Any religion that looks forward to death or the end of the world is a death cult by nature.

My brother once said you could solve 1/3rd of the world's problems by nuking the Vatican, another 8th by hunting down all the Evangelicals.

Their god's the almighty dollar. Because I would love to have my hand in the churches wallet. Then again if the church actually donated money to help people, I'm sure we might a better treatments or cures for some serious illness's.

That's a bit harsh. Christian countries have been separating state and faith for 100 years. Meaning that any war effort has been solely political since 1900 or so.

Meanwhile the Muslim countries has gone opposite. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't really see a separation of church and state. Hell, even a scumbag politician can get in office by playing the "I'm a christian card".

Not in Scandinavia. Up here they struggle just to be in parliament.

In vain in Denmark since the 90's I may add.

I can relate to that given the pacifistic nature of it, but why do you think so?

Funny, I was thinking the other day if God came to Earth, what religion would God represent (just considering these three religions)?

I don't believe it but was forced into Christianity until around 14 years old and the understanding i was taught as to why our particular newer branch was most correct is because no one else fully properly understood God's message and meanings yet. I'd imagine that is a big part o f their beliefs.

Excuse me, we’re not a cult. We’re a pyramid scheme.
