Squatter Rights go back in time and the Law was established some 200 years ago, obviously when Australian society was a lot different.  He found a hidden loophole and got away with it.  But what's also laughable is the price of the house!  A$1.6 million for that dump in an average suburb.  Just shows you how ridiculous the price of real estate is in Australia and especially in Sydney.
