State of Emergency for France?

Eldorado

Recommended Posts

Been to Paris twice.  One of the dirtiest cities I've ever been to.  Just did not like it.  The reason I returned was simply to give it another try and it was still the same dirty city.  Hard to describe.  It wasn't physical trash.  It was just like the city had been flooded and the water had drained away, leaving a gutter or sewer type look.  Maybe I was in the wrong district in Paris, but I saw nothing beautiful about it.  There is a famous spot in Paris where Hitler once stood and that is famously meant to be the moment he decided not to destroy the city.  I stood in that exact same spot and automatically I just said out loud "Why?" - meaning why did he spare the city.  I haven't been back in 6 years.  Hopefully the city will be cleaned up one day.

Not so.  At least, not in the conventional sense.  They are raising hell about taxes, yes but they are continuing their behaviors to force the gobment to GIVE THEM MORE FREE STUFF.  They're insane and acting childish.  They thought they were electing Santa Clause and got the tax man instead :w00t:

Macron won because he wasn't Le Pen. And no one sane wanted Le Pen not just because of her bizarre political platform (isolationism and chauvinism) but also because she's compromised in the same way Trump is. Their strings are being pulled by Moscow.

What happens in France probably includes a lot of naive anarchists, but the moment Russian bot army started cheering for 'yellow vests' it became clear, without any shade of doubt, who is trying to weaken the EU by instigating street violence in France. The whole show was either organised, either hijacked by Russia.

By the way, your Trump was happily boasting the 'yellow vests' (anarchists and leftier lefties) were chanting his name. Which was actual fake news, and came with footage of people making idiots of themselves in Trafalgar Square (that's in the UK, not France).

Even if it was true, you're still stuck with Trump being so abysmally disoriented he actually advertised anarchist-left riots as something he truly likes. Or maybe Putin ordered him to do so. I don't know which of the two possible options is more horrifyingly embarrassing.

Now, cheer for the lefties and anarchists who are damaging French national monuments. Because you wouldn't go against your leaders wishes, now, would you?

As usual, Aunty reads the words then adds her own meanings to them.  Are there many people you understand better than you think they themselves do?  It's an odd eccentricity.  The idiots in the streets voted him in because of the promises he made for "free stuff".  It wasn't enough and now, even though he had to go against his EU bosses... they still want him out because they want MORE FREE STUFF.  You can add Russian bots or sprites or boogiemen to your heart's content and it doesn't change any of those facts.  A brief primer on their outrage:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/04/world/europe/france-economy-protests.html

They have SOME legitimate beefs but as a rule, I'd say their just whining because they expected more and got a Banker instead ;)

Read my post if you wish to reply to it.

Then explain why was Trump advertising extreme left and anarchists rioting in France as something desirable and why he proudly stated these people, lefties and anarchists, were chanting his name?

I dont know why you see nationalists as chauvinists. Maybe that is true in your area but its different in Western Europe. She is also a woman not a man.

What do you think about alternative for Deutschland? They are portrayed as Nazi but have a rather pretty blond lesbian as one of their top people.

The French government will consider imposing a state of emergency to prevent a recurrence of France's worst riots in years, but while it is open to dialogue it will not change course, its spokesman said on Sunday.

Masked, black-clad groups ran amok across central Paris on Saturday, torching cars and buildings, looting shops, smashing windows and fighting police in the worst unrest the capital has seen since 1968, posing the most formidable challenge Emmanuel Macron has faced in his 18-month-old presidency.

Disturbances also rocked several cities and towns and across France - from Charleville Mezieres in the northeast to Nantes in the west and Marseille in the south.

Nationalist and chauvinist are not the same. I don't mind sane nationalists (according to some interpretations of the definition I'm one), though I believe in 21st century we should already know better than that, while I detest chauvinists because their worldview is obviously based in fantasy, not in the facts.

I know Le Pen is a woman. That's why I said 'she's compromised in the same way Trump is'. If I thought she's a man, I'd use pronoun 'he'.

I think their grandfathers are rolling in their graves. As for the pretty blondes, I'm afraid you mistook porn for politics. No one sane cares what a politician looks like, unless it's some extremely bizarre look that indicates psychiatric problems (Trump, for example).

Ernst Julius Röhm`s homosexuality was tolerated somehow by Hitler until Röhm tried a coup, Goebbels was physically disabled and Göring was a morphine addict. All 3 of them were top-nazis. And the **** you are talking about, Alice Weidel, is a lesbian nazi, yes she is.

I know that in Russia the culture is one where men act overly masculine. Maybe you see chauvinists as that type of man? The type of man who thinks that to be manly he has to invade everyone else or fight everyone else?

In the UK a chauvinist is someone who is demeaning to women. I have to confess, that when I have seen you calling people chauvinists your sentences haven't made much sense to me. Maybe this is why? Trump isn't a chauvinist. He is someone who likes to wind people up and likes too see himself as something special when he isn't.

AFD are anti-immigration. As with most anti-immigration political parties around Europe at the moment they are bad mouthed as being Nazi or far-right simply for being anti-immigration. In reality they have not one Nazi policy.

Speak for yourself. I like a decent pretty female politician lol.

To become a member of the SS you needed the hair colour of Hitler, the height of Goebbels, and the fitness of Goering.

No she isn't.

No! You misunderstood me! Chauvinism is political phenomenon, you obviously think of 'male chauvinism', meaning people who believe in masculine superiority. While I'm talking about political chauvinism, in the original meaning of the word, meaning political platform based on belief in superiority of one nation.

Also, Croatia is not Russia.

Trump is mentally challenged person. I don't think he deserves any kind of political label, except maybe tra...ahem... no, I'll wait for honest Americans to use that word first.

But they are Nazis. Except that they are mostly not up to Nazi standards themselves, but as toast pointed out, neither were the original Nazis.

Regarding your way of making political decisions, I'm aware people like you exist and it does explain a lot. Only I don't accept that as an adult decision-making, which means you shouldn't be allowed to vote, but on the other hand, democracy is the best we've got so far, so there...

French situation has little to nothing to do with actual taxes, and certainly isn't about disagreement on climate changes.

It's violent sabotage directed against French government.

In the UK we call that white supremacy (white people are better than others) or fascism (our people are better than others) not chauvinism. Trump likes to be the centre of attention. He says and does things to wind people up so he gets the attention. The more attention he gets the more special he thinks he is. Hillary Clinton is even worse lol.

How ironic to hear you calling a political party Nazi then in the same sentence telling us you think people should have their Democratic rights taken away from them. Thats not Autocratic is it? In fact, at that comment I move away form being civil towards you and tell you that you are a disgrace.

Errrm…. no just no

There are a lot of French people living from pay check to pay check and Macron decides to tighten the screws even further. Thats the cause.

No, you call chauvinism chauvinism in the UK too. See:

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/chauvinism

Chauvinist doesn't have to be white, or hold the white race in general superior. Fascism usually is chauvinist, but doesn't have to be (current American tendencies).

Trump is narcissist, meaning that he morbidly needs to be centre of everyone attention, always. I didn't get that impression about Hillary. It certainly is possible she is one, but in that case she is obviously clever enough to hide it well.

I said democracy is the best we've got so far and I'll die for it. Just because it obviously has its faults, such as allowing voting to people who can't separate sexual attraction from responsible political decision, doesn't mean totalitarianism would be better. It's **** that floats, so the chances for totalitarian 'leader' to be anything else but a piece of **** are minuscule.

Really? I thought it was related to trying to force everyone to buy electric cars and promising to give people that did a huge rebate, then when a lot of people did finding out you didn’t have enough money to write those checks so you proposed a higher gas tax to raise money to pay the electric vehicle owners who now are having problems making their car payments because they don’t have money they counted on to help make those payments. But of course your explanation makes more sense and fits the facts better than mine. :D

Well the dictionary might say that but the language of the people doesnt use Chauvinism to denote national supremacy. The USA does believe in national supremacy, it sees itself as the greatest nation in the world, and it is. And we its loyal ally in the UK are happy to be its lapdog so long as it throws enough scraps our way lol.

Trump is a narcissist and with Hillary I cant decide if she is brain damaged or just plain weird. At least Trump is significantly better than Obama. You forget that Germany has been hit hard by large numbers of immigrants thanks to Merkel. People vote to stop that kind of thing you know, in fact the majority of people. And if the pretty politician is giving people the polices they want then even better!

I feel like it's mostly about a general frustration at the cost of living going up every single year. Cost of rent, gas, insurance, etc. It is hard to support yet another tax when you already feel like you're getting squeezed out.

Nah. It will be Germany that will introduce the electric cars as something understandable, instead of extravagant. I'm not even kidding. And it has to be done, this fossil fuel dependency is giving too much power to the proven wrong hands.

But you have the word, very precise and already in academic use. Why accepting American, far less accurate substitutes if you already have your own, better word?

The US, by the way, believes in corporate supremacy.

Immigrants are constant since Jesus. And before that, but Jesus was the most popular example of a child refugee.

It's not Merkel's fault or invention. But the Syrian wave was definitely Russian job too, not just because it's Russia that's pounding Syria to dust, it was also operation in coordination with Turkey: blackmailing the EU, Germany in particular, with large refugee waves. It's over now and the people drowning in Croatian rives at the moment are mostly Iraqis. That would be Obama's fault. Kidding. These are still consequences of Bush's 'mission accomplished'... Christ, give me strength. This is so horrible.

Yes they do. And remember those Muslim youth burning cars in France? Were you on their side? No? Well, there's a lot of them in these riots too. Congratulations. At least you're not as evil as you are naive.

Too many common people lost property, too much vandalism, too few people among 'yellow vests' who were willing and able to negotiate... nope, I don't buy any spontaneous or truly lefty protests. Maybe this started as legitimate folk protest, but obviously was hijacked by professional provocateurs.

A lefty doesn't attack national monuments. Or private property of other proletarians.

edit: forgot to add, 'yellow vests' who wanted to go talk to the government were stopped with serious threats. Why, if the goal of 'yellows' is better life for all citizens?

The reason we dont use chauvinism to describe jingoism or national supremacy isn't because we use an American alternative. Its because the people simply dont talk like that. Like I said, you even confused me with your use of the term and I am by no means uneducated. When you learned to speak English you didnt get taught normal English you got taught dictionary English lmao.

Mass immigration did not exist in Biblical times. Its not anarchists rioting in France, its ordinary people. Many are being reported as middle class who have been squeezed too much financially.
