New Theory Explains Dark Matter, Dark Energy

A new theory has been proposed to account for the inferred properties of dark matter and dark energy. Together, these are believed to amount to about 95 percent of everything in the universe, but have so far eluded direct detection. The theory even accounts for the cosmological constant introduced by Albert Einstein to make his proposed model of the universe work.

Both dark matter and dark energy are conceived in this new theory to be a single substance, a dark fluid with negative mass. This would defy gravity, repelling other matter, rather than attracting it.
