Warren takes step toward presidential run

Elizabeth Warren is too far to the left to have a realistic chance of winning the presidency. In all honesty I'm not only glad she's running, but I hope she wins the Democratic primary.

Exactly. Warren is by today's shifting attitudes, a "moderate" democrat, even though she is perceived as a marxist loon by conservs. She could win the primary. Maybe. She'll never beat Trump.

It will guarantee four more years of the best American president since Ronald Reagan.

Mon amis, if Trump smashes open "deep state", he may be all of that and more. That will be his biggest accomplishment.

Dems laugh at the treatment that Trump gets by the Justice Department (FBI) v. the treatment Dems (HRC) get.  But I remind dems, were you smiling and laughing when deep state assassinated JFK?

The dems are fools to be fighting conservs on this issue. If the deep state gets support from the left or the right, then deep state WINS. simple as that. Donald Trump is doing more to expose deep state *for all of America* than any president has since JFK and he is doing a better job of it, thanks to twitter etc.

Except those older candidates are set in their ways and are always out of touch with the younger folk. They also seem a little more susceptible to bribes.

Hank

'dat be very true, Hank    Would you like for candidates to be in touch with youthful people like Antifa?   Because I"ll guarantee you, Ocasio-Cortez and her ilk are.  Say no more?

OK Earl, what the heck is he doing to expose the deep state in his tweets? A whole lot of them seem to be complaining or blaming.  He is too full of himself to care about all America.

Just giving my opinion, Tatetopa.  Trump went to Washington to engage the Swamp.  I'm sure we have all heard him say words to that affect.

The Swamp is not America's friend. They are a group of very influential gangsters in 3-piece suits. And all they really care about is themselves, like any group of gangsters. And they knew Trump was not "one of them" before he was elected. Hence, the FBI spying on him then and *after* being elected. Trump knows what he is up against.

Trump certainly has not come close to ending their reign but I give the guy credit for trying.

You have my total agreement on this one.  In my opinion, it includes government officials; both elected and appointed, lobbyists, and private citizens who control corporations or influence groups including some so=called charities and foundations.

This is the part I don't follow. He brought his own swamp with him.  Some of them overlap with the existing swamp, some are new players. He didn't  drain the swamp, he just rotated a few of the denizens.  His platform was never honesty or transparency in government.  He sells access to himself for his cronies at the Mar-A-Lago New Year's Bash.  His DC hotel draws people tat want to get in tight with the Pres. He may have done a lot to fulfill his promises to his base, but not in this area. (My opinion of course)

What is the difference if he hosts a party at Mar a Lago for friends, which he didnt go to by the way, or Obama throws a shin dig at the White House for his A-List celebrity cronies...oh yeah, we paid for the White House party and probably funded Michelle's designer dress as well.

Business as usual. No difference. Same old politics, Different pocket.

I like some of her ideas, but she doesn’t have the charisma necessary to be President. Can you imagine her in a contest with Nikki Haley? She doesn’t have the motherly qualities that Haley has.

After Trump, people are going to want someone really nice, probably the Jimmy Carter type, although hopefully not nearly as boring.

Yeah nothing works better to denigrate your opponent than a reference to genocide. Man what kind of alternate reality hell have we fallen into?

Let me be straight up honest, I don't give a Rat's bottom who it is running against Trump but I'll vote for them. He's just lied one too many times for me. And no, I didn't vote for Hillary's lying ass either. And I'll open myself up to the ridicule but those not living in the US, and therefore directly effected by it's policies? If Trump is so wonderful to you, please start a campaign to get him to move to your country.. we'd greatly appreciate it

Quite right, as evidence by all the people who justify anything Trump does today with the fact that he ran against Hillary in 2016

I don't like her any more than you but I really see her as the leader of the "new left" or neolibs, who want to take that "big step forward".

Hate to admit it, Ocasio-Cortez is a weapon because she represents a new wave. I pity the future of America.

America has always been predicated on responsible behavior from moral, educated citizens.  We will have the future we deserve.

That was the primary reason I voted for Trump.  Since he's been in the job I've come to appreciate his skills and above all, his toughness but initially, he was the only choice to stop a known evil.  HRC just wasn't to be allowed.

Or the collective amnesia/straight up denial the Dems have displayed towards the Virginia blackface/assault scandals for no other reason than Dems did it

Yeah it is ironic and pretty ridiculous that the party is allowing them to "pull a Trump".

Personally, and maybe this explains some of the party reaction IDK, anyways personallly.....its Virginia. Being shocked that someone from any party went to racist parties as a kid is like being shocked water is wet or an Alaskan kid smoked pot . He should still have to stand down and we should still be weeding folks like them out, but its Virginia.

That said,it doesn't aknowledge the blatant "see, hear, speak" not even 1/100th about assault that Kavanaugh drew in a single day!

Not here nor anywhere else!...hell it took almost 2 weeks for Dem leaders in Washington to finally start making demands, for no other reason than the "image problem" it could create...

They were riled up about the Republican from the word..."i don't remember"... ;)

Lol. That's pretty good, AK. Nice! But seriously, deep down you know the old school Dems are not going let old Bernie win to run up against Trump. Ya'll better put all your support behind Biden. That way, at least you got a 50/50 chance.

Maybe you guys over in the UK and those over in Russia might not know this, but he's costing some people to lose money who live here in the U.S. That's not good. That's a sure way to start losing votes. I keep typing it and I'll type it again "Money talks and everything else walks." So when it comes down to it - most people vote with their pocket book.
