Lol. Yeah and it was gaining a following back in the 60's & early 70's too, with the Baby Boomers and look were most of them are now. Conservative and retired, while telling the younger generations in general "It's a bad idea." True but back in those days conservatives were the ones ok with government the way it stood,the more progressive or liberal had little for and a distrust of "the man" = government...

Today both sides can't stand each others form of government,but both sides NEED MORE government! 

AOC wants a empire of government run dependency going by accordance of the "Green Deal",and Republicans talk the talk to try and pull in Libertarians,but they aren't really fooling anybody...they love big gov aswell.

Mostly corporate,but even the Republicans can't avoid taking advantage of a good tragic event if it gives great amounts of power to the gov...

It may be true that the DNC rigged the primary against Bernie back in 2016. However despite that he went from a no-name Senator from Vermont with zero name recognition and practically no support behind him, to winning 22 states as well as 46% of the vote.

Now he has the name recognition, and people are aware of the corruption. Furthermore, Bernie Sanders is the most popular Senator in the country.

I'd say he has a significantly larger chance of winning than last time.

And you don’t think they’ll rig it again in some way so that he will lose popularity and votes? I mean it's suspect to me they’re already starting in on him, trying to center the main blame on him from the sexual harassment problems that happened in his 2016 campaign. I’m suspicious they’re building a case against him to try and force him to drop out.

That right there, is a favorite dirty politics trick that both sides use to get rid of competing candidates, like they’ve done in the past.

Every time we get knocked down we'll just keep getting back up. I don't deny they'll try every dirty trick in the book. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep fighting for what we believe in.

I'm just saying he's up against a lot of powerful groups of people in the Dem party that are going to make sure he doesn't win. They don't like too many socialist ideas, they don't want it. The corporations that feed their back pocket don't want it either. What happened to him in 2016 sayz a lot about the type of people he's up against.

This is one of the strange situations setting up for the next few elections,those in the Republican party who are old school against the newer type of Republican voter...and the old school Dems vs the social dems...

I'm just waiting to see which come to terms with "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" first...

Could be some real "odd" pairings and alliances in the future...

Yeah you never know. It's going to be interesting to see what happens before and after 2020. The things that happen in politics can throw you for a loop sometimes.

After Trump, I’m willing to listen to just about anybody,  unless they are from Texas. 

I’m amazed to see Democrats finally using religion to help justify some of their ideas. The biggest question I have now is what took them so long?

This also helps explain what a disaster Bill Clinton really was to the Democratic Party. The Republicans helped make sure that Clinton had no moral authority. Now the tables are turned, and the disaster has been multiplied for the Republicans, a thousandfold.
