The right wing irrationally hates on Ocasio-Cortez because she's young, female, Hispanic, attractive and charismatic, and actually left wing. Unlike most democrats, who are really centrists; NOT liberals. Dems only appear 'liberal' compared to how far right the modern GOP is.

They should just leave her alone, let her sink or swim based on her own political skill (or lack of skill) but they won't. They fear her and what she represents far too much.

She has proven to be highly electable and very popular, but yeah, she hasn't actually DONE any meaningful legislative work yet.

Give her time. She's a newbie. But what a newbie.

I saw that AOC got a committee assignment. I thought I read that Pelosi wasn't going to give her Anything? AOC is the Media's new darling though, and her power is still waxing. While Pelosi seems to be waning.

I read several articles where Pelosi is being directly compared to Trump by several left leaning outlets. That comparison can't be good.

That's pure BS. I've heard no such thing. The main thing I've read is that she is just ignorant, and economically a dreamer. Young... Female... Hispanic... I've read nothing. Not even from "racist" Trump on twitter.

This I agree. Let her sink or swim.

My issue is that the left idolizes her not because of her character or merit, but because she fills demographic boxes, because she is a young female Hispanic women. She has little actual qualifications for the position.

If she was a middle age white women do you think the media would be in love with her every move?

It is just identity politics.

No actual qualifications?  That sounds familiar.

"He is an outsider just what we need to clean up Washington,." says A.

"But he has no qualifications."  says B

"He is an outsider and I like his personality,  he is tough. And besides, he fills the right demographic boxes:  white, male, middle aged, rich, likes to cuss and fires people on TV.  What more could you want?" says A

No one ever said he was middle aged...

This is a woman who uses Trumps greatest weapon and Achilles heel against him and the GOP.

It's no different then Trump tweeting about the weather as evidence that climate change isn't real for the billionth time.

You can argue this guy's tweeting that due to an agenda, but agenda or not you gotta be flat-ass stupid to say that.

I don't find AOC's college video of any concern. Reminds me of The Breakfast Club.  It's just her proposals are outlandish.

as well they might be.... there's plenty of time for her to be moulded into a more palatable 'Leftie'..
she has already made concessions to the Establishment and Corporate Democrats by voting for
Pelosi as Speaker of the House..

I feel she is being groomed for power along the same lines as Obama, Macron and Trudeau -

Zerohedge article from August 2018

New details have emerged showing the ties between Communist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and wealthy elitist, George Soros.  Soros’ media network helped ensure that the socialist would win the primary election.

Bee, your ah...link lacks just a wee bit of credibility. It gets worse when you follow the authors credentials to a survival and conspiracy website. Nothing but inuendo and bad taste in web site design.

Shooting the messenger eh...

It sounds like you don't think she could have any links or have been given any help from the
infamous George Soros or any of his organizations... maybe you don't think Soros is involved
in politics at all and it's just a silly conspiracy...  made up to bamboozle people... ^_^

I don't have time to look into it further at the mo... but referenced by the Zerohedge article is
Daily Caller Article

The New York Times writes that she was able to defeat her opponent, who greatly outspent her, due to her online presence. In an interview with progressive digital media outlet “The Young Turks,” a member of a Soros-funded network of far-left publications called The Media Consortium, Ocasio-Cortez also admits that their coverage helped her win.

Members linked to Soros-funded digital media asked Ocasio-Cortez, a former organizer for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign, to run for office — guaranteeing favorable coverage by a media network that reaches almost 300 million people monthly.

I think what you're  getting at is that AOC was using Saunders connections, while Soros was financing Bernie's Campaign? Yes I do know that Soros is involved in politics. Perhaps you're familiar with his successes and failures in Russia? He's also one of the greatest philanthropists of this century. As for aoc, (im lazy) what's wrong with using Bernie's connections to advance her career, or Soros for that matter? Isnt that standard practice in politics? Im sure her taxes are online if you have problems with her funding. As for the messenger, I only shoot to end the suffering. Their decorator should be shot.

There's only one actual scandal surrounding Trump.

It's the scandal perpetrated by certain people in the DOJ and the FBI of trying to cover-up their crimes (with the help of their cohorts in the media) of obstructing justice.

They're trying, but it isn't working. And just like with Nixon and his colluders, they'll pay for it eventually.

Some one they can throw out there as the "face" to say what they want but really has no power whatsoever. A puppet in other words.

He had mentioned her looks a couple times and has quoted people who mentioned her attractiveness.   I think it is reasonable to believe he was including her looks into the package of his  comment.

Nothing wrong with that.
