AOC=Flash-in-the-Pan. Ten years from now, no one will even remember who she is.

I don't believe that.  In ten years she will be one of the stars in the socialist party.  In the next few years that party is going to grow in power and influence and at the same time undermine the democrats.  The same will happen to the republicans with the growth of the libertarian party.

That’s mostly because she was hired as a virtue signal from the Democrats, but I think she’ll do what Aussie pollies do when they’re booted from their party, go join some other party. She’ll be a career politician, I’m sure of it.

Sad...

This didn't work in any Soviet nation, and I imagine it will not work here. Free housing just gets ruined by those that use it. The number of examples of people ruining what they don't pay for is endless.

Should we help the homeless? 100% yes. Should we just hand them housing with no responsibility? No!

I work in apartments all the time and the difference between standard housing and section 8 housing is stark.

I can't be sure but something tells me she wouldn't handle not having the spotlight very well.

In the US she's much more likely to just join a "news" organization, like CNN, or MSNBC. And spout her drivel as news "opinion".

She even equated it to minimum wage.

"It may be politically convenient, and it may make you look good in the short term for saying, 'Oh we're not voting for pay increases,' but we should be fighting for pay increases for every American worker," she said. "We should be fighting for a $15 minimum wage pegged to inflation so that everybody in the United States with a salary with a wage gets a cost of living increase. Members of Congress, retail workers, everybody should get cost of living increases to accommodate for the changes in our economy. And then when we don't do that, it only increases the pressure on members to exploit loopholes like insider-trading loopholes, to make it on the back end."

She's a mouthpiece for the "Justice Democrat" party. Google that. Did anyone really think she dreamed up the Green New Deal all by her lonesome?

AOC is probably the worst thing to happen to the Dems since the Russian collusion paper tiger. On the surface she ticks all the boxes: she's Mexican-ish, female, young and relatively attractive. She is exactly what the Donkey's need to reach a bored and disenfranchised legion of progressive youth. Time to fire up the propaganda machine and push "AOC" until she becomes a household name.

Colbert: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Is Traumatizing To Conservatives

Seth Meyers: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Responds to Fox News' Weird Obsession with Her

Spoiler

Trevor Noah: Alexandria Ocasio Cortez SHOCKS The Nation

Spoiler

If you don't have time to watch all three clips, it's just more of the same old tropes. "Why are Conservatives so racist and stupid!!1 LOL XD"

Well, the joke is on you guys. You put your remaining credibility on the line to back AOC until she revealed how utterly stupid she was. Emphasis on "stupid". She barely has a high school senior's grasp of economics, the electoral system, the Constitution, even the branches of Government. All the clips I posted were from ~10 months ago when the Left was all in on their holy brown skinned champion of women. I can't find many recent late night interviews with her - that should tell you something.

Cleanse your pallet with this: "AOC gets tons of stuff wrong. For no reason."

Alexandria "three chambers of Congress" Cortez. Yikes. Looking forward to her insightful and moving words on Trump's inevitable win in 2020. Great job, Democrats.

I posted a video about that once. Didn't claim it was true but usual suspects pounced hard although I've always been certain that she is highly manufactured.

Now, she went from a bartender to making 175k plus a slew of perks. Even with a family you should be able to easily survive, have fun and even save a little bit on that salary. To claim a pay raise will curb corruption is insulting to us and sympathetic the corrupt. Corruption is based on greed and a pay raise isn't going to curb corruption. As if those corrupting can't match and exceed the raise anyway. What a joke. I wonder if the few guys here in love with her that rush to defend her honor can now see we were right. She's a swamp creature to the core.

When I Googled Justice Democrats their website advertises the following:

We're the organization that first recruited Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to run. Support a new generation of leaders in Congress. Join Justice Democrats today.

They say it's true so I'll believe them.

She can brag how she kept Amazon from putting their headquarters in her district. Who wants or needs those pesky high paying jobs anyway? Speaking of work, she's done 2 things while in office, jack and.....  and she wants a raise to help fight corruption? How much of a raise would it take to realistically solve that? I see a money vortex, it goes in, nothing comes out, and it just keeps getting bigger.

Trump Invoked Executive Privilege To Block Democrats From Getting Documents About The Census Citizenship Question

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has invoked executive privilege for the second time in his presidency to stop House Democrats from getting documents from his administration, the Justice Department announced Wednesday.

This time, Trump's privilege assertion shields documents related to a controversial decision by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census. The issue is currently before the Supreme Court. Democrats, civil rights groups, and other opponents argue that including the question would scare off noncitizens and immigrant communities from completing the form and was intended to suppress their representation in Congress and in the federal budget-making process. The administration contends it would help the Justice Department enforce voting rights, and that there is value in knowing the size of the population of US citizens.

the bolded part is a total lie, the only people it would scare off are illegals, my wife's family was never afraid to fill the census, before they became citizens, and why would it scare them?  they had legal right to be here. it prbly would scare them if they were illegals

Intended to suppress their representation in Congress..... So, do illegals get to vote then? If not, then how are they ever being represented in Congress?

Let illegals go become citizens and then they can vote.

I'd tend to agree that we'd like to know how many illegals there are and where they are living. But realistically they're not going to turn themselves in, so this is actually a waste of time.

They don't want us to know because we'd be horrified by the actual number. Then we can calculate the cost, etc.

Trump's greatest allies for a 2020 win: AOC and 'The Squad'

Enter the über woke socialist quadruplets who refer to themselves as “The Squad:” Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D- N.Y.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

What makes "The Squad" such a tantalizing and obvious political target for President Trump is that all four are on the wrong side of every major 2020 issue. From their calls to “abolish ICE” and the Department of Homeland Security, a position that even the ultra-progressive Center for American Progress suggests is bonkers, to their support of the Green New Deal, Medicare-for-all, impeachment for Trump and outright disdain for Israel, they are the 2020 gift that keeps on giving for the Trump White House.

Let’s also not forget the squad’s over-the-top, incendiary rhetoric, which much of the mainstream press chooses to gloss over or outright ignore, coupled with the fact that these four individuals crave attention and media adulation like teenagers on Instagram. In fact, their social media presence is dwarfing the 2020 Democratic presidential field.

Forgive them Pelosi, for they not what they doeth. Good.
