Hearing things

Hinimi My Friend

So I'm new to this website so I don't really know if this is the right place to go but here goes nothing. About a week ago i was in my room playing a game and I heard someone whisper my name, I also felt breath in my ear as this happened and my dog also turned around as if she heard it too. I was very creeped out as I was the only person awake in my house. I messaged the group chat that I'm in and they managed to calm me down. While I was on FaceTime to one of my friends on the group chat my T.V glitched out and went green, obviously this could have nothing to do with what happened I was just paranoid after having heard my name be whispered. One of my friends asked me to send a picture of my room to see if there was anything and she looked over it quickly and there seemed to be nothing. However, when she slept at my house we looked at the picture again and we saw a hand and two faces. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for what showed up but I don't know. I was finally starting to forget about it but about 20 minutes ago I hear the whisper again. The first time I ignored it but it then got louder and after the second loud whisper I got a terrible pain in my head. I went out of my room and downstairs and here I am. I don't know what's going on or even if it's bad but I just need my sanity back. I also see people walk around my room and then when I look back they're gone. This hasn't just been recently it had started when i was about 6. My great Grandad used to see ghosts but from what I'm told he only saw good things. I don't know if those two bits of little information will help to come to a conclusion but there you go.

The mind can play tricks on you, especially if you're sleep deprived, stressed or both.

Dogs are very intuitive and pay attention to our signals. So if you suddenly look in one direction, it will too.

Your granddad's experiences could suggest mental illness. That can be hereditary.

You need to set boundaries and state out loud with no fear to go away and leave you alone. State out loud you do not care to hear voices anymore. As a free willed person, you have every right to do this. None of this can harm you, unless you get all panicking and escalate your anxiety and superstitious fears.

You seem young and this is a normal phase many young people go through, though too many keep playing with it and their "haunting", which is usually a mental construct.

Blow it off, relax, lower your anxiety and if you will feel better, search on youtube for banishing rituals and play one or two to be rid of "it". Whatever builds enough confidence in you that it works will work.

Repeat as necessary. In summary, you are making this through your own mind and imagination for the most part, IMO. Our minds are a lot more powerful than we think. The more we game and use our imagination in virtual situations the higher the risk that can bleed over into reality until we learn to enforce the wall between them. Get tough and train your brain to know the difference clearly.

If it persists, read up on disassociative disorders and make sure they do not apply to you. If you aren't sure, seek a counsellor's help.

JMO.

You should have gone to someone in your house. If it was late at night (hence why they were asleep) , then you need to look at your sleeping pattern and why you are up late playing computer games. This can affect your mind and as sci-nerd has pointed out:

Care to share the pic?

Meanwhile, what everyone else has said. Except the part about the dog, or at least the dog I've been walking lately. If I suddenly look in a new direction, he looks at me with a puzzled expression. I imagine he's asking "Something wrong with your neck?"

Something similar happened to my boyfriend but it was a normal sounding cheery voice,  very clear. It said how ya doing Anthony.  We both were in a small convenience store and just finished paying for our things . And as I walk out the door Anthony walking behind me we both heard it clear as day. Like there was no distance between the voice me. I actually thought it was his uncle and started to look around for signs of him or his truck and at the same time Anthony also said it sounded very close so he thought it was someone in the store and started looking around there. Nobody was there. This happened again to him at a casino. Except for this was more menacing and an unfamiliar voice saying **** you ant and started laughing.   My boyfriend seems to have bit of intense anger sometimes and has some paranoia to. But I've been a witness to some of these like the most recent incident was this guy that he used to know years ago came up and shook his hand and asked how he was and what has he been up to. Weird part is another friend in passing mentioned that same guy dying 2 years ago. We didnt believe her but she showed pictures of his memorial service

  • 1 month later...

So I have said before that I hear someone whisper my name, since then it's been getting worse. It's been going on for a few months now and it's just so tiring. Before it was maybe one whisper about every weak but now it's multiple every day. I also used to only hear it in my room but now I sometimes hear it outside. I don't know what to do. I've told some of my family and my friends but they don't take notice of me or don't believe me. I also have started seeing people in my room again and it just makes me so uneasy. I always feel like I'm being watched whenever I;m alone in my room as well, it's just so creepy to me. If anyone has any ideas of what it is then please help. Is it actually something or am I just going crazy?

I haven't said anything yet but I'm going to tell my therapist about it and see what she says.
