Welcome Anna, pull up a chair and join us.

We have all sorts on here, you will not get anywhere else more diverse in views than on UM. Which makes for very interesting debates and we also have fun too.

Heyyyy, I have chosen this site in a hopes of some light hearted conversation. I'm not a Mason, Evangelist or Hater.

I really enjoy Star Trek (pre Discovery), X Files, LOST, Merlin, alternative news ... that sort of coooool stuff and tbh... I'm kind of a bit lonely atm. I'm looking for friends if I'm honest.

Ofc, I am looking in real life too, so no pressure, lol x

You can definitely be my friend if you don't like STD!

Welcome fellow Trekkie/Trekker/Star Trek Fan.

Hellooooo ... welcome on board, how much over the scales does a heavy heart can tip over before it becomes lighthearted ?

Welcome fellow Trekkie/Trekker/Star Trek Fan.

I mean obviously I will still watch STD but my goodness there is so much missing... honestly, I have discussed this at length with my brother.

. Lack of clear leadership and timely support for Ensigns.

. Terrible quarters - and shared too

. No observation room

. No consistent separate missions

. The Klingons were too racially profiled and crap

. The brutality and non intelligence.

. A work atmosphere in the halls. This is Star Trek, scarcity and money no longer exist. They are there for the pure joy of humanity expanding out into the stars!

My gosh. I have still watched every episode, twice though and just basically bare up. Patrick Stewart is doing another series soon. I hope they learned their lesson and get back to genius.

Seriously, not one character had a scratch on even a low level regular like Neelix in Voyager. There wasn't enough juice in the entire two seasons to compare even a 5 minute convo between Seven of Nine and Janeway for example.

... yeah so, I could say ALOT more but thanks for the welcome lol x

Goddess of the Mist

Lighthearted conversation sounds great, but there are some heavy hearts on here so you kinda have to choose your battles if you know what I'm sayin'!  But welcome, welcome!  You seem like a nice person and your dog is super cute!

I'm pretty set on light heartedness nowadays primarily from being 'Grandma' to that cute little Shiba Inu pictured. That dog is simply toooooooooo cute and intelligent. I'm enjoying the pet thread a lottttttttttttttt. I'll post more pics there. Going to start creating agility training play dates for our little chunk named Cinnamon. She is the best doggy, so well socialised by my surviving daughter.

Yeah, the world is divided but I stay on the middle ground to protect my heart.... I finally stopped giving myself away!

Thanks for the feedback though because you can't really see yourself and I am interested in making new friends, even though I have been a recluse now for four years.

Tap me on my shoulder please if I ever go Rambo. I know my triggers and externalise my boundaries now so doubt it will happen..  I think ... but every now and then....

Tbh, I already love this place. Suchhhhh good reading material and questioning minds.

I've spotted the bullies lol x

Lol, you are such a weirdo.. I love it.

The video made me smile. I turn 47 in a couple of weeks so the video is a little before my time but I want to research them now. After a certain stage of life the first question seems to be, 'I wonder if they're still alive..' lolll x

Isn't Discovery rubbish? Seriously. It's not just me is it? Basically, it's the worst elements of Enterprise and Voyager (the lazy time travel plots, the on-ship soap opera, the galactic politics that are meant to be huge and compelling, but just seem tacked-on). And it's annoying the way that, before season 1 came out, everyone was saying, 'Oh, it's going to be an anthology, oh it's going to be like Starfleet _if it really existed'_ ..and then it just turned out stoopid.

Above all, it just makes me appreciate how clever and uncompromising Deep Space Nine was.

Anyway. I _am_ a Mason, an evangelist and a hater, but that said, Hi!

The writing within Deep Space Nine ... basically ALL pre Discovery Star Trek was exceptional. I love how the writers simply wrote soooooo much. Every season had twenty plus episodes! That takes some weaving and clear understanding of the esoteric nature of the subconscious. The episode where Sisko's son worked all his life to find his dad has made me cry more than once.

I'm not sure why you would identify as a Mason, Evangelist or Hater but I've learned to leave things alone, so won't ask. I guess you'll show it x
