I just love the thought of a bunch of consenting martial artists & stone cold killers having it out in a no holds barred, chaotic, free-for-all, battle royal to the death.

Why is a death match such a romantic notion to so many? Nothing makes me happier than limping away from a fight all bloodied & beaten to hell & I can't really explain why. I'm not a mean guy I just love fighting, it's like spiritual & stuff.

I suppose most people have more important things to do than to get beaten senseless but if you had nothing better to do would you ferry off to death island to duke it out with like minded individuals?

If so, why do you think that is?

It's abnormal behaviour, in the context of civil society, that covers it pretty well.

Uh huh.  So what's the nickname of the martial arts underground? So do you have any pictures of your martial exploits?

I would argue that so called civil society is abnormal. Combat is just simply primal.

So I'm calling B.S.

There are several martial artists on this forum. Some are underground fighters. We all have pics.

If combat was "normal" there'd soon be a drastic reduction in the population, not sure whether that would be a matter of concern to you, though.

That's fine.

Back to the question, would you take that ferry ride to almost certain death to have it out just for the hell of it?

Mate, every bloke I have ever heard talk like this, has ended up having himself bashed senseless. There is always someone out there with the capability and the intent to accommodate your wish.

I spent 3 years in a Gang Max. I survived "Gladiator School". I swam the Dark Ocean before that.

I have serious doubts you would though.

I can't say that I do but I guess it just comes with the territory. I'd accept that fate.

Anyone with this attitude, if they survive, will usually look back and realise it wasn't real smart. But, if you must fight, then do it within the context of organized events like boxing.
