UM-Bot Posted January 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2019 According to a report, excessive drug use in London may be having an adverse effect on some of the local wildlife. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/325017/eels-hyperactive-due-to-cocaine-in-the-thames 1 1
mdbuilder Posted January 22, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) The Thames is a BIG river. It would take tons of cocaine to alter wildlife. Proof? How many druggies are down there getting high on river water? Edited January 22, 2019 by mdbuilder
justin3651 Posted January 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) Oh Great, I'm afraid now it's just a matter of time until the eels start mugging people and forming gangs to feed their addictions. As if England didn't have enough problems already... Edited January 22, 2019 by justin3651

In any case, surely Cocaine is so 80's. 1

UFOwatcher Posted January 23, 2019 #11 Share Posted January 23, 2019 " Eels in the Thames aren’t as closely exposed to the drug as those in the 2018 study — so it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re getting “high” from the run-off. " So they don't really know if this is effecting the eels? I would think they would determine how much was in captured eels and how much was required to cause a change in behavior. Sounds like a lot of speculation.
