Jodie.Lynne Posted January 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Oftentimes in my writings and posts on these forums, I make references to popular culture (pop culture) genres such as books, movies, songs, television shows and comic books (er, excuse me, graphic novels, ahem). The reason for this is that I often find great insights, and comments about life that, once heard, seem so obvious, yet were unconsidered before hearing them. At least, unconsidered by me, but maybe I'm just dense. So, I'm wondering if others also find such meaningful ideas in similar venues. If so, please share. To start, this clip, from the Joss Whedon series 'Firefly' says so much to me.
+and-then Posted January 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2019 There's an old black character from a movie called THE OX BOW INCIDENT that sings that exact sentiment. It's an old negro spiritual called Lonesome Valley.
