Taxes, paying the help, livestock feed, seed, maintenance ,insurance, propane, electric, petrol and diesel all add up. Mid size places break even and most owners have outside incomes. Only the big corporate farms make millions. My place just paid for itself, which is all I wanted it to do and I outright owned it. His siblings are farmers? I didn’t know you were a farmer too. What do you grow?

Habitat Posted May 21, 2019 #3581 Share Posted May 21, 2019 The "Walker Stalkers" are still "on the case" ! Despite being portrayed as a fantasizing "hick" wasting his days telling dubious tales on the internet, it is obvious he holds an irresistible fascination for some. No, I don't understand it at all. But I guess its a mutually satisfying arrangement. and I should keep out of it ! Which I do, till the nastiness creeps in.

Guyver Posted May 21, 2019 #3587 Share Posted May 21, 2019 Sigh. What a breath of fresh air reading the last two pages. Just saying, this dialog is positive. It’s inclusive. I see folks around here practicing the type of humanity I believe in. Recently, I went back to a Christian site I was on when I was a Christian and am a completely different person with a different faith now. Listening to those people, who I used to be like was really eye opening. Such hatred, unkindness, judgement and fail. I mean there really is something to using your own noggin to figure things out. 6

I like how real you are, you have included us in your journey even when it wasn’t pretty. I think the world of you, and learn from you. so knock it off. XenoFish Posted May 21, 2019 #3598 Share Posted May 21, 2019 It's like the whole mentos and diet coke thing. How exactly did that happen? Was someone eating a mentos and took a swig of diet coke? Did they drop one in a bottle by accident? Who knows. 1
