Not if they own medium size stations (livestock farms) they aren't.

Taxes, paying the help, livestock feed, seed, maintenance ,insurance, propane, electric, petrol and diesel all add up. Mid size places break even and most owners have outside incomes. Only the big corporate farms make millions.

My place just paid for itself, which is all I wanted it to do and I outright owned it.

His siblings are farmers?

I didn’t know you were a farmer too. What do you grow?

Horses and their hay.

That's just it. My stepmother/aunt has 20 square miles of Black Angus, soybeans and silage corn and she might break 50,000 a year pure profit.

The "Walker Stalkers" are still "on the case" !  Despite being portrayed as a fantasizing "hick" wasting his days telling dubious tales on the internet, it is obvious he holds an irresistible fascination for some. No, I don't understand it at all.  But I guess its a mutually satisfying arrangement. and I should keep out of it ! Which I do, till the nastiness creeps in.

Sure it's peaceful enough. But I'm not like a lot of you. I don't have a college degree in anything, did horrible in school, and don't really have anything brag worth. Sure I've done quite a few things, but sometimes I feel like the dumbest guy in the room.

Sigh.  What a breath of fresh air reading the last two pages.  Just saying, this dialog is positive.  It’s inclusive.  I see folks around here practicing the type of humanity I believe in.

Recently, I went back to a Christian site I was on when I was a Christian and am a completely different person with a different faith now.  Listening to those people, who I used to be like was really eye opening.  Such hatred, unkindness, judgement and fail.  I mean there really is something to using your own noggin to figure things out.

Having a degree doesn’t mean anything as far as intellect goes.

You are one of the smartest guys on here and well respected.

Your a good man too, and real. I like how real you are, you have included us in your journey even when it wasn’t pretty. I think the world of you, and learn from you.

so knock it off. Lol

Look my "IQ" is between 113-121. In all honesty I don't know what to make of it.

You know, I anticipated that response, 100 %. No, I am not at all jealous, but I am perplexed by the phenomenon.

I am perplexed by the hydrochloric acid in our stomachs.  I’ve only just been contemplating it.

It's like the whole mentos and diet coke thing. How exactly did that happen? Was someone eating a mentos and took a swig of diet coke? Did they drop one in a bottle by accident? Who knows.

Because they are in the middle of quiet worship in a Quaker Meeting, or during a staff meeting full of prudish yuppies

Butt burps on a hard plastic chair in the middle of class. That's a winner.
