UM-Bot Posted March 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2019 (IP: Staff) · If there were such a thing as a top ten list of unexplainable phenomena throughout history, Gef would rank right at the top. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/column.php?id=326008 3 Top
acute Posted March 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2019 (edited) I'm glad to see Gef getting a mention. A truly bizarre story. Edited March 3, 2019 by acute 1 Top

acute Posted March 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2019 When I was a hoglet, my brother had a really thick Reader's Digest book on the paranormal, and Gef was in there. I only recently found out it's pronounced 'Jeff'. 1 Top

Nnicolette Posted March 17, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2019 (edited) Ive seen some clever animals but never thought about what it would look like to see a clearcut genius of another species. Mantis914 Posted March 18, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2019 I remember reading this years and years back. I find it curious that the entity was never seen in full form especially since it was said to be a mongoose and small and furry but it referred to itself as a horrible sight. tmcom Posted March 20, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 20, 2019 The thing about the talking moongoose and the possessed cow, is we never see them talking on tape? Dr Dolittle just isn't the same neither is Babe, (well he brings home the bacon and doesn't squel about his abilities, but) sorry about that. 1 Top

I also know someone who was spoken to by a cat, and informed of an undiscovered death. It's a pretty neat possession trick. 1 Top
SecularHaze77 Posted April 12, 2019 #14 Share Posted April 12, 2019 Gef is such an interesting case. I'm fascinated by poltergeist cases, particularly ones which talk. Interesting coincidence is that the Epworth Poltergeist, also, was "Old Jeff." They saw a little animal like a rabbit or badger a few times.
