Anyway, I think it beats the usual drivel.

Religious person thwacks at atheists, and atheists thwack back, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Not me,I never sing unless I am drunk and howling cats are trying to cut up my night.

Back alleys, what can I say to redeem my musical prowess.

Hi Glitter

Being stoned and getting stoned are two different venues and me, not singing keeps it down to one objectionable form of expression.

It's just these discussions are usually just a bunch of jabs at each other, and that's just gotta get boring.

I thought it was a nice change-up.

Hi Glitter

Music is a good way of expressing a position in a favorable way. We meet people that identify with ideals. I don't see that as off topic and am glad that you, Gyver and I have had this chance to explore each other without anyone pulling an uzi

Sing one baby, there is more than that that has happened through music than any other venue.

The mere fact you speak of assigning probability to an undefined, even undefinable idea, tells me a lot about you, but nothing about that idea ! I think your calculations fall at the first obstacle, by assuming you have both ownership of the detection equipment, and the expertise of being able to apply it. I'm tipping you have the former, but not the latter. And you are not consciously aware of either.

Similar assumptions could well be underlying your firm belief in god.

Were you well acquainted with the faux philosophy of "mysticism" before your paranormal experience?

Someone who flat-out gives zero credit to any God existing. In many ways preferable to the half-assed variety !

I beg to differ.

In the Christian Mysticism I encountered, (Quaker) there was no set philosophy or should I say "doctrine". Just a group of people worshiping or meditating in silence, holding their own personal beliefs. But then again I was born into a "Non-Theistic" Meeting with many atheists.

Just curious...did they have cushy pews, central heat and air, and a plate or basket passed around for them to put money into?
