+susieice Posted March 25, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2019 (edited) Former Stormy Daniels lawyer has been arrested for extorting what could almost be $25 million dollars from Nike. He's also being charge in a federal case for embezzling money from a client. It's alleged that his co-conspirator is celebrity attorney Mark Garagos. He has not yet been charged and is currently representing Jussie Smollett https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/25/michael-avenatti-to-be-charged-with-wire-and-bank-fraud.html https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-michael-avenatti-arrested-20190325-story.html Was he ever charged in the domestic abuse case that was filed by his girlfriend? +susieice Posted March 25, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Wow. That Chicago Tribune link is long. Avenatti has other charges looking at him according to them. He lied to a bank to get a $4.1 million dollar loan. He's also involved in the R Kelly case.

+susieice Posted March 26, 2019 Author #9 Share Posted March 26, 2019 (edited) I guess last month they decided not to charge him with the abuse reported by his girlfriend. Stormy Daniels may still go after him. She doesn't trust him at all. The video is interesting. https://abcnews.go.com/US/michael-avenatti-charged-alleged-domestic-violence-time/story?id=60791661 Edited March 26, 2019 by susieice

Avenatti's is particularly foul-smelling, apparently. 3
+susieice Posted March 26, 2019 Author #11 Share Posted March 26, 2019 (edited) This guy stinks, that's for sure! I wonder if he's involved with any of the college entrance scandal defendants. He's a celebrity lawyer. So is Garagos, though he hasn't been charged with anything yet. Edited March 26, 2019 by susieice

the13bats Posted March 26, 2019 #17 Share Posted March 26, 2019 I always got a vibe from him, i didnt much care he represented a pornstar, i didnt care trump hooked up with her either, and what a joke, hush money paid and lawsuits about not talking about it yet she spewed all kinds of details about trump i didnt care to know, I admit im surprised he got in a lot of bad trouble really quickly this isnt gonna wipe off even with a big white towel, it will drag out in courts for a long time. Oh, perhaps if he says pretty please with sugar on it donny will pardon him.

Well if that transcript of this lawyer fellow and nike is true while he likely does have powerful enemies he did this to himself. It reminds me of a story i heard about a strip club that closed for a spell, it was a big deal making tons of money all legal but i was told thst wasnt good enough so they start doing illegal stuff out of the business and get popped, i have no idea if true but the pieces fit. Greed is a very demanding unforgiving monster.

The articles say it was Nike's attorneys who went to federal prosecutors. He was threatening them. There was an investigation where the threats were heard. Then Avenatti tweeted a threat to hold a press conference. 1
