Because, naturally, they’ll say on their tax “bribes from Russia.... $450,000,000”.

No it'll reveal his real name when his signature says Ivan Cheslav Trumpk.

Not me.   Not for anyone.    Removing a name from a ballot because of something that is not illegal is a horrible precedent.

If Trump runs against Biden for the presidency, would you be OK with Ohio removing Bidens name is he does not provide is full home movie collection?   If Trump does of course.

Nobody will have a name removed for something that is not illegal.  So today this does not apply.   If a law is passed that tax returns must be filed with the election committee, then that becomes a law.  If Ohio deems it necessary to view candidates home movies then they can try to pass that law as well.  If there are enough non-stupid voters which I still believe there are, or laws get challenged as unconstitutional then the courts will decide.

Is this an infectious disease that has been caused buy the MSM?  Every crackpot idea get publicized and people run up the OMG tree before it fades away?

WHAT'S TO STOP YOU OR TRUMP?

What is to stop Trump from rounding up all blacks gays asians and hispanics and putting them in internment camps?  Same thing:  courts, voters, and people that would rebel to various degree.

The United States system of government has outlasted 44 Presidents, World Wars, and a number of crises.  It is a pretty well thought out system. .

Not likely is it really?  If you lie on you taxes, that is another separate crime.  In the case of some senators it might reveal where funds for their boat or vacation home came from, but not too likely either.  I think it is a reaction.  People are throwing down tax returns to say . "See, I am honest."  Does it prove anything?  Most modern presidential candidates have done the same.

But then we have never had a billionaire president before have we?   Obama, Bush, and Clinton for example were not multimillionaires at the start of their administrations.

I can see where if President Trump's taxes have different numbers than he has told his banks, investors, and insurance companies; he could have another problem that has noting to do with his being President. It might cost him failed deals or hundreds of million dollars in losses.  Not saying I feel sorry for him, but that is a personal and not a Presidential issue.

People seem very sensitive about the tax issue though.  It is about Trump, you bet, I am not blind.  That doesn't mean it will  even put into law or stand up in court.

Tat,  Just read to day that a dem committee is subpoenaing banks to get Trump's records.

Now, ask the Dems what they are looking for... I bet you get the deer-in-the-headlight look. just another fishing expedition.

They are looking for evidence of skulduggery  Question remains, even if they find it,  will it be illegal or will it matter?  .

So last night the local PBS channel was listing a few of the laws up for a vote in my state and another was to require all bars and restaurants showing sporting events on the TV to have the subtitles on for the hearing impaired.  I thought, now wait a second here.  When have you ever been watching a game in a bar and been able to hear the TV?

I'm hard of hearing in Washington state, I don't need to hear sports.  I need a law to change the channel to something good.  Being a nerd is where the real struggle lives, just try getting a bar to play Blake's 7.

Many times the words block the view of the game.

I gotta say....this just makes the Dems look petty and childish. "taking my ball and going home" ridiculousness.  So next step, no Republicans on any ballot, or publish the names of your neighbors who voted Republican, how about fines or jail time for those voters...they shouldn't be allowed to vote unless they vote the way we want them to.

You could say that the Democrats are acting like old school progressives and trying to fight corruption in government.

At this point it is more like, if you don;t play by our rules, you can't play ball with us.

In the long run, public opinion and ethics will determine who can stand for election.  Can a tax evader or a child molester or a spousal abuser still be a good Congressperson or President.  Maybe so.  That is what people will decide.

If you are going to run up the OMG tree, how about going higher and saying next women will not be allowed to vote or hold office, or that only white men over 50 with a net worth exceeding $500,000 can vote. It gets crazy with the what if speculations.  DId the MSM infect us all with a dependence  on daily crisis to supply our adrenaline?   I prefer coffee.

I'd argue that what they are wanting adds more corruption to the government.

This is just a great example of my local state government wasting time and resources.  If this passes the supreme court will rule it unconstitutional for states to require a presidential candidate be left off of a ballot for this reason.  Now if it were a requirement that presidential hopefuls disclose their tax returns that would be a different story.

The TDS is spreading like crazy.   A guy gets put on leave for liking Trump tweets.

The left is getting to be more and more like the Nazi's

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tomi-lahren-campus-police-chief-placed-on-leave-for-liking-trump-tweets-enough-is-enough

“Over the past few weeks, members of our community have expressed concerns about the ability of Chief Daniel Hect to develop the level of trust required to engage in community policing.

In light of this, Chief Hect, who leads campus police at Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges, has been placed on administrative leave.”

By "concerns" do you mean students discovered Chief Hect liked pro-Trump, conservative, and NRA tweets on Twitter? BINGO!

And what were these horrible and triggering tweets?

Well, one was a “liked” NRA tweet wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Another “liked” NRA tweet said, “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.”

And buckle up folks, he also “liked” tweets from our president about the border wall. The audacity!

The student who blew the trigger whistle said, it was "Unacceptable for someone in charge of keeping any community safe, let alone a campus as diverse as MHC's, to be publicly displaying his support for hateful regimes and organizations, as well as for individuals who demonize migrants from Mexico or other Latin American nations.”

After that, the campus went so far as to host a forum in which Hect could be grilled by students as to why he DARE appear to be a conservative.

Hect even APOLOGIZED for liking tweets which showed support for the border wall.

But even that wasn’t enough, he was still forced to take leave.

How do you get that out of them taking a legitimate candidate off the ballot?

No, these things will decide who gets elected. So then why remove a legitimate candidate just because you don't agree with him. That's not up to you, that's for the American citizen to decide.

Exactly my point, it is up for the American citizen to decide, and if we can't we call in the courts as referee.

If a law is passed by the people of Washington State that says you must submit your tax returns to be a legitimate candidate, then anyone who does not do that is not a legitimate candidate under the law.

In that case, the law gets challenged and the court decides if it will be upheld or is thrown out.

That is the great thing about our government and a justice system based on a rule of law.  It does not depend on intelligent voters or the honesty of candidates to survive.  If the voters desire something or the legislature passes a law that conflicts with the Constitution of the United States, the courts get to decide.  The situation gets sorted, regardless of MSM or speculation or panic.

What they may be  wanting is politicians with no conflicts of interest.  On the surface this does not seem like a bad thing.

They could write a grandfather clause to it and say that any suspected corrupt politicians currently in office can remain in office and run for reelection until their term of office expires.  Would that make it better for you?

You seem to think it is the bratty kids because you don't like them.  The bratty kids do not pass their own private laws  Separate the factions you like and dislike and think about the method of passing laws through the legislature and of invalidating laws through the courts  that our Constitution provides., This would be a law of the state of Washington, not a faction.  All of Washington.  Not bratty kids.

As Oversword says above it is likely a waste of time because it will be thrown out by the courts.  As far as I can tell then, the system is working as it should.  We could step back a bit and watch a system that has worked for over 200 years continue to function properly.

This is as bad as the McCarthy era witch hunts.  Can you image?  In the USA you can ruin your career and social life for not despising and disagreeing with the duly elected president of the United States.  The liberal left is just ridiculously out of control.  TDS is a real mental disorder, I've witnessed it take hold of friends and family.  Not amount of facts or attempts at reasonable discussion is possible because.....TRUMP!!!!!!!

71EN+iJBUnL._SX425_.jpg

I just want to shake them and say GET A LIFE, but the reply will be "I CAN'T HAVE A LIFE AS LONG AS TRUMP IS PRESIDENT!"
