Making The Law of Attraction Actually Work

Recommended Posts

Visualize, imagine, affirm, feel good (confident), and let the universe give you what you desire. Sounds great doesn't it. I mean who would want stuff effortlessly. We could sit around doing nothing and still get whatever we desire. As you suspect by now, I'm not going to sell that to you. What I'm going to attempt to explain is how to actually make "the law of attraction" work and how it does on various levels.

What is confirmation bias?

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/science-choice/201504/what-is-confirmation-bias

What is self-fulfilling prophecy?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-fulfilling_prophecy

How about goal setting?

https://www.smartsheet.com/blog/essential-guide-writing-smart-goals

The reason I bring these three up is because this is how the law of attraction really works. Mostly through confirmation bias and self fulfilling prophecy (actions). The universe doesn't magically give people what they want. They create it. Typically whatever you're wanting to "manifest" in your life, you are instructed to visualize, affirm, feel confident and to do this every single day. Sometimes twice a day. This is building and creating a habit, or subconscious program. You're focus will be directed toward anything that will confirm this goal belief.

There is one thing that I have noticed among certain schools of L.O.A practices and that is if your wish doesn't manifest, it's your faults. Not the method.

So let's get to my point. How do I make the law of attraction, intention-manifestation, creative visualization work. Easy. You plan. The methods I have mentioned have there roots in Think and Grow Rich. I recommend reading it. Because on this is made clear, you need effort. So let's get started.

1) Clearly define your wish/goal. Keep it simple and realistic.

2) Create a reminder. Vision boards, goal chart. Something that you'll see each and every day.

3) Create steps. Make a list of at least 5 different things you can do to achieve your goal. Organize this list for easy to most difficult. Start with the easiest the work your way up.

4) Be consistent.

5) Make it a habit.

You need to know exactly what you want. By using a reminder you can keep focused on this goal. Follow through on the steps will get you there. Daily effort is a must, if you stumble and fail one day keep trying never quit. For a lifetime goal such as good health make it a habit. Also be smart. Some goals can not be achieved. So you must make a judgement call on whether you'll stop or not.

Just a tip to those of faith. If you're going to ask God for something, ask god how to achieve it. I could explain the mechanics behind this, but honestly who cares.:tu:

I did the same search and only found a country music singer. But no, I don't follow him. Didn't even know who he was till you mentioned him.

We all experience coincidences in our lives. Things we think about, things we do, things that annoy us, things we hate, all cause strange coincidences to crop up in our daily lives. But there are three types of people in this world:

1. Those who deny it - Because they have an almost neurotic belief in their worldview meaning they are no longer open minded or able to question what they have convinced themselves is true.

2. Those who cannot see it - When it rains the whole world rains with you, when it shines the whole world shines with you. To see a change you have to shift your mentality.

3. Those who know something odd is going on - And there attempts to explain or understand what is going on across history have included the universe watching them and knowing their thoughts. Karma. The Law of Attraction, and various others.

Xenofish you have a reputation on these forums (sorry but you do). Its like you are incapable of even experimenting with your mind to find this stuff out yourselves. Change your mentality and watch for the changes in your reality. Its not exactly difficult.

You work for it. Which is kinda the point. Dreaming is one thing, doing is another.

With 3 write ups on this subject on this forum. I have no idea what I'm talking about....seriously? I mean are you for real?

I think I may have single handedly explained this subject better than a lot of people, without a sales pitch.

To put all I wrote in a way that is easy to understand.

Focus on what you want, take appropriate actions, be consistent, pay attention to meaningful coincidences.

Some "wishes" can not be achieved, some can, keep it realistic.

Both confirmation bias and self-fulfilling prophecy may play a roll. Intentional actions on some level need to be performed.

If you want an even simpler version: Wish without desire, act without expectations.

I did or dont you remember?

Recap: I said reality is like a fractal where patterns emerging at one place emerge across the rest. So if you spend a lot of time wishing you were rich (your pattern of thinking) the universe mirrors back to you plenty of situations which continue to make you wish you were rich (the pattern you have put out there).

So its not about wishing you had something, its about wishing you were the opposite. So wish you were poor, wish you had no responsibility, wish you could spend all day in bed, wish you could do the bare minimum in life.

Its not about being positive its about hate. Hate poor people, hate the work classing, hate socialists, hate the unemployed, etc.

You want to be crafty in the patterns of thinking you engage in to get the universe to mirror back the patterns you actually want. Its this inverted approach you have to use not most people claim as the Law of Attraction.

Yeah, that doesn't help anyone. It also look just like victim blaming if not down right hatefulness. I'm offering practicality. If somebody wants to change their lives, they need to know exactly what they want, need a plan, and the will to follow through. It's not about hating others for superficial or jealous reason, that's childish. Wishing you were rich is not the same as doing something to reach such a goal. No, all you're encouraging people to do is live in a egotistical dreamland. It's wishful thinking plan and simple. The universe doesn't care what anyone thinks. We create our lives through our beliefs and what we do. Constantly having to deal with our choices and the choices of others.

What I am saying is the universe never gives you what you want or like or value.

So you have to take an inverted approach instead. It works 100% but do not expect overnight results. People expect an immediate affect but it can take days and weeks.

To speed things up go to new places, do new things, bring the unknown into your life. The more chaos you bring into your life the more chaos there is for new stuff to come out of.

You haven't tested that to make such an assertion.

Dont make pre-assumptions, try things instead.

Yeah I have and it almost lead to suicide. What someone needs to actually do is acknowledge what they don't want and create a plan to get what they want. You don't dwell on obesity, because you'll do nothing but start feeling sorry for yourself, you acknowledge how you feel and figure out how to get away from it in a realistic way.

Why am I even bothering discussing this with you.

The problem with the Law of Attraction as it is sold (without making real world effort) is that it's a form of wish-fulfillment. Basically just a fantasy because you would already be satisfying an emotional need. Going in the opposite direction is just reinforcing that belief or perspective.

The Law of Attraction is four forces and explained in Ezekiel in the Bible.

Each of the four forces has four dimensions to it. The first force is identity and its four dimensions are - I am, I am not, I wish I was, I wish I was not.

As I just explained further up the universe mirrors back to you what you think. So if you wish you were rich it sends you situations which continue to make you wish you were rich. It doesnt mirror back the opposite which is were most people go wrong. So using I wish then a person needs to wish they were poor instead. Then the universe mirrors back situations which continue to make them wish they were poor.

Overeating falls under I am because its an action you undertake that is true. I am is always true and the universe sends you situations that confirm it to you as truth. To beat overeating true wishing you were miserable in life. That is, if misery is what is driving your overeating.

Everything is inverted.

I really cannot believe you dismiss what I have been telling you while still writing that.

Read what I wrote - I wish does not get you what you want. The reason being is the universe mirrors back to you what you are thinking, not the opposite. Try wishing the opposite or what you dont want instead.

That's the problem, the lack of simplicity. You'd rather have something that's overly complicated than simply saying. Change your thoughts to change your perception, change your actions to change your life.

The universe does nothing. All you're encouraging is a negative feedback loop.

All I'm telling people is to focus on what they want to change, create a plan, and DO IT!

One last thing Rabid. I know this method works. Because each morning I affirmed and acted. I told myself that "I will make the most of the day, regardless of what happens." Every single day even now. I broke that negative train of thought that was creating my depression. I didn't focus on being depressed, I focused on what I wanted instead. As it stands I have another statement right about my computer, that I used to remind myself of what I need to change about ME. I even made it a status update. So do not tell me I am wrong. I know it works. Focus on what you want to change and change it.

All I'm telling people is to focus on what they want to change, create a plan, and DO IT!

The universe has both a light side and a dark side to it.

That means to be in balance with life you need to develop both your light side and dark side. If you go through life trying to be solely good then there are some harsh lessons to come your way. Likewise if you are pure evil you wont like what happens to you either. You need to learn to master both along with how and when to apply them.

Life does not favour the solely good or solely evil and will hold you back for it. It will punish and crush you for it. You have already been stung by the sounds of things.

You need to learn to be kind, compassionate, forgiving, helpful, loving, and nice to other people. While also learning to lie, cheat, hate, resent, be mean, and ruin peoples lives. In essence, the point of life is for you to build up your wisdom of what is good and evil through experience. Your Bible tells you that, read all the stories of people climbing back up the old ladder to reunify with good. Read King Solomon. Everyone from Abraham to Moses were sinners and they all went far.

You have cut off the dark side of reality so now you are out of balance with it. It is not what God intended for you. God used that old snake in the Garden of Eden to try and push man in the right direction. You need the knowledge (or wisdom) of what is good and evil in order to become like God. Not a one sided approach.

Do you really think the high flyer in society is good? He/she is both good and evil. He/she has gained insights into how this duality works. They know when to use good and when to use evil.

Like I have told you up above hate the poor (not the rich), be selfish (instead of charitable), be lazy (instead of a hard worker), try to avoid responsibility (instead of seeking it), try to do the minimum (instead of working hard), etc. Do that and you will end up rich. Poor people will cause you problems though and everyone will want money from you. You will also be forced to have to work hard and get thrusted into leadership positions because of all the incompetent morons around you.

Do that instead of being positive, making plans, wishing for things to change, etc. You are trying to use the light side in a situation where you need to be using the dark side. Become Darth Skywalker!

If anyone would like to discuss the methodology and applications of what I have described feel free to do so.

As for you Rabid, I will not be engaging in any further conversations with you. Hate only begets more hate, creating a feedback loop of hatred and nothing good ever comes from that. Good luck with this apparent hatred you have, all because you lack the will to do something constructive. Good luck.
