Still Waters Posted May 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2019 An escaped puppy that went missing has been found after surviving in the wild for more than a year. Pointer cross Rio was 10 months old when he slipped out of his harness on a walk near Cambridge in January 2018. After some initial sightings, he was not spotted again until March this year. He was finally caught this week, and is thought to have "lived off rabbits" at a former landfill site. He is now at a rescue centre, hoping for a new home. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-48212933
lightly Posted May 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2019 Aw, hope he gets a loving home. My sister had a white cat (snowball) who jumped in the burning barrel and lost most of her fur!...she ran away. It was autumn ...my sister had sorta given up by spring...when snowball came home! i fed a cat for a year without ever seeing her, tracks in the snow told me it was a cat...then one day when returning from a 3 day absence , she Meyowwed at me from the woods, and very very gradually adopted us! My wife named her Seena ...for seena cat. Had her for 18 years.
