edit... because the Express is blocked for some reason - the article should be able to be found
by doing a search on the title... Peterborough by-election: Brexit Party's Mike Greene seeks LEGAL ACTION for ‘dirty tricks

Quote

Mr Greene feels other parties have used “deceit” and “lies” during the campaign and that “trust has been broken”. Mr Greene told *** blocked ***: “Labour have just started spreading false news, if you like. There was a letter to constituents yesterday about me that was quite frankly a complete lie and I will address that legally.” The letter, which was signed by Labour candidate Lisa Forbes, claimed Mr Greene had labelled renewable energy “crazy” and the candidate had said the idea of paying people a living wage was “moronic”. But the Secret Millionaire rejected the claims, saying that comments that he didn’t care about a minimum wage were a “complete lie”. Mr Greene said: “There were complete lies on there. The trust has been broken and if they want to put the trust back into Westminster, they’ve got to start being more honest.

That has always been the strangest aspect of that election, for me.  How could so many have gotten it SO WRONG?  I guess they just got wrapped up in their own rhetorical word games and weighted polling.  The surprise and horror on their faces was genuine.  For those of us expecting our nation to be gone once the Hildebeast reigned for 8 years, it was like a commutation call for a death row inmate :w00t:

:D

It looks like in the case of the Peterborough By Election the bookies got it right... but didn't factor in the
Voter Fraud... :hmm:

Turns out there is growing concern over the very real possibility (probability?) that voter fraud through improper postal
voting clinched the win for Labour ....

Which is one of the best arguments for NOT having a second referendum. We already know that remainers cannot be trusted.

An Electoral Commission spokesman said: "Vote Leave has today withdrawn its appeal and related proceedings against the Electoral Commission's finding of multiple offences under electoral law, committed during the 2016 EU referendum campaign.

Note the source.

"Reason number three, and the most obvious of the lot: how can Vote Leave reasonably be accused of cheating on spending when the Remain campaign spent far, far more and had the entire machinery of Whitehall behind them? Electoral Commission figures show the Remain campaign spent £19 million. The Leave campaign spent £13 million. The government spent £9 million of taxpayers’ money on Remain campaign literature. £3 million of this was spent on online ads and “digital promotion”."

that is just minor tittle tattle in comparison with the (for now alleged) blatant election fraud and collusion between
the Labour Party and segments of the community in Peterborough...

random link (Mirror)

note it was lack of resources that forced them to drop the appeal...

"Since July 2018, we have been preparing our Appeal against the Electoral Commission’s unwarranted and unsubstantiated finding and fines.

"Sadly, we now find ourselves in a position that we do not have the financial resources to carry forward this Appeal, even though we are confident that we would have prevailed on the facts in Court.

"We have therefore regretfully decided to discontinue our Appeal.”

Everything that could possibly be done to stack things in favour of a Remain vote was done. This includes spending, government leaflets, threats and endorsements from celebs and world leaders. They even extended the voter registration deadline to capture 400,000 of the youth vote who couldn't be arsed to register in time. And yet, Leave won. We voted leave, not because of a stupid bus, or because Facebook told us to, or because we're thick and racist. We voted leave because we're the ones who looked at the EU, did some research and realised we'd be better off out of it.

Doesn't change the fact that Leave broke electoral law

Nobody believed that then, no reason to believe that now, either way they, Leave, broke the law and is a matter of record, and the Peterborough thing at the minute is just gossip if even that.

And you think remain lost because  Leave over spent by a hundred odd thousand. Even though remain out spent leave by over a million pounds.

Get real.

And, apparently, can't handle that.

Which wasn't, as you claimed a vote for or against no deal. It was a vote on asking for an extension if the deal was not agreed.

Tariq Mahmood had been employed once again by the Labour campaign team during the election, and despite there being an abnormally high number of postal votes accompanied by the Labour party beating the then incumbent Tory MP, Brexiteer Stewart Jackson by under 700 votes, City Councillors voted to withdraw from a pilot scheme that could have significantly decreased the types of electoral fraud that have eroded the small Cambridgeshire City for decades.

Tariq Mahmood, who was imprisoned along with a former Peterborough Mayor for his direct involvement in forging votes and redirecting postal votes in an attempt to rig a local election, was invited to work on the central campaign team for Lisa Forbes’ candidacy, as he had done ‘such a good job’ in helping Labour’s Onasanya steal the seat in the previous GE.

MP Fiona Onasanya was jailed for three months in January after being convicted of perverting the course of justice by claiming that a Russian had been driving her car at the time of a speeding offence, at a trial in December.

.....Labour in action.

Source?

Or is it still just the one bee posted?

Also, they withdrew from the pilot scheme before the election due to too many elections in a short space of time.

can you imagine what the MSM would be screaming from the rooftops if the Brexit Party had used
someone who had actually served jail time for voter fraud - we would never hear the end of it...

and this shows that the MSM is shamelessly biased and can't be trusted...

Corbyn and Forbes must have known about Mahmood's past but obviously felt completely comfortable
being pictured with him and using his influence, legal and/or illegal to swing the votes in their direction...

Does this mean they are naive or corrupt ?...... or both.... ?

Let's hope the Electoral Commission isn't corrupt and want (or have been instructed) to turn a blind eye
to the alleged postal vote abuse in the Peterborough By Election..... for the same reasons that a blind eye
was turned regarding the muslim grooming gangs ....

edit to correct spelling mistake..changed 'here'.... to 'hear'...

Indeed. And can you imagine their outrage (especially the BBC) if a brexit supporter had joked like this:-

Indeed, compare these two BBC articles :

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-48611424

"The BBC has defended Jo Brand against claims she incited violence through comments made during a radio show.

The comedian, a guest on BBC Radio 4's Heresy on Tuesday, joked about throwing battery acid at "unpleasant characters" rather than milkshakes."

The BBC said the jokes made on Heresy are "deliberately provocative as the title implies".

It added they are "not intended to be taken seriously."

and :-

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48185348

Police are looking into remarks by UKIP candidate Carl Benjamin after Labour MP Jess Phillips accused him of malicious communications.

Mr Benjamin, who is standing in the European elections, tweeted that he "wouldn't even rape" Ms Phillips.

He has refused to apologise for the remark made in 2016, arguing that "any subject can be the subject of a joke."

Jo Brand and the BBC have been extremely irresponsible over the 'battery acid'...... ''''''joke'''''

I saw somewhere that the husband of Jo Cox, the MP brutally murdered just days before the
EU referendum... had commented on it and obviously didn't think it was good to encourage
violence towards political figures...

I heard that Brand has made an apology about it... a bit of a weak one though... maybe it dawned
on her that some nutter angry about what she said might give her the alternative milkshake treatment..
when you play with fire.... etc etc...

The Peterborough By Election fraud allegations continue...

https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/crime/five-electoral-fraud-allegations-at-peterborough-by-election-being-investigated-by-police-1-8964103

Police are now investigating five electoral fraud allegations relating to the recent Peterborough by-election.

The number of investigations has risen from two earlier in the week and includes one message shared on social media allegedly showing someone bragging that he and two others had ‘burned more than 1,000 votes for the Brexit Party’.
