Who will the Democratic nominee be?

I don't understand why I can't get a president who wants low taxes and to protect the environment.

Trump's tax plan seemed effective to me, others will reluctantly give credit to it for the economic boom.

But he has stripped alot of enviromental regulations which is not good.

Unfortunately all the Democrats want to get rid of the tax cuts. Then they will probably be surprised when the economy slows down and cost or living goes up.

I'm glad they want to protect the environment though.

At the end of the day I will probably be voting for Trump again.

Honestly, I think most environmental regulation done by Democrats are meant to be punitive rather than a true desire to save Mother Earth. Few lefty legislators have small personal carbon footprints and we know that no matter what we do, China and India aren't complying anyway. So, our half of the planet will last a couple days longer than theirs. Warming likely is more related to (over) population and these their regualtions don't do much to curb that.

I am getting pretty tired of Biden and Bernie.  They were good in their day but, maybe some younger people need a chance.  Tulsi seems pretty good.

New polls show Biden and Sanders both leading so far in Michigan. I personally don't care for Biden, and Sanders comes across as too angry and crusty all the time.

Biden's a creep

Booker's an opportunist and an actor

Mayor Pete kisses Sharpton's ass, therefore he he's weak. Reparations

Kamala is an opportunist, unprepared and lacks conviction

Beto "shape me into the president you want me to be" is a wet noodle opportunist with no conviction and idle hands. Reparations

Bernie will tax us to death

Warren is a fraud just blowing in the wind. Reparations

I'll take any of them.

Hmmm........

I wonder how long it will be before Hilary Clinton announces her candidacy ? After all, she's the one who bankrolled the entire DNC back in 2014-2016.

Obviously, The Amazing Donald will be hoping so, as that will guarantee his being renewed as Emperor

I hate these kinds of stunts. He couldnt care less about the working guy, its all for publicity.

Bernie Sanders Crashes Walmart Shareholder Meeting

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) crashed the annual confab near Bentonville, Arkansas, to demand at least $15 per hour for Walmart employees and their placement on the company’s board of directors. The Democratic presidential hopeful held up the world’s largest retailer as a symbol of income inequality in the U.S.

“People are earning wages that are so inadequate they cannot provide for their families ... and that’s absurd,” the Vermont independent said in a campaign video filmed in a car on his way to the meeting. “What we’re doing today is telling the wealthiest family in the country, the Walton family that owns Walmart, that they have got to start paying their workers a living wage.”

Kory Lundberg, a Walmart spokesman, said new employees now start out making at least $11 per hour, due to recent increases to the company’s minimum wage. He said that combined with benefits the average hourly employee earns $17.50 an hour in total compensation.

“We’ve invested $4.5 billion in four years on increased pay, expanded health benefits for full and part time associates, put in place a debt free college plan and have created 200 training academies across the country to help associates develop transferable job skills,” Lundberg said in response to Sanders’ criticisms.

I follow her on Twitter and Facebook and she's increasingly becoming more and more vocal.  Check out this tweet from her today:

It's remarkable that she "remembered" how to use Twitter. She didn't seem to be able to remember much of anything just a couple years ago.

Joe Biden, former vice president

Cory Booker, New Jersey senator

Pete Buttigieg, South Bend Indiana mayor

Tulsi Gabbard, Hawaii representative

Kirsten Gillibrand, New York senator

Kamala Harris, California senator

Beto O'Rourke, former Texas representative

Bernie Sanders, Vermont senator

Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts senator

These are the only ones that seem to make the news....

I like Gabbard's background, but I think she's drowned out.

I do like Buttigieg's background also. But again, I think he's going to be drowned out.

I think Booker, and Harris, and Gillibrand are all about equal, though I like Booker more then the other two.

Warren... Ughh... She's got ideas, but she's a hot mess.

O'Rourke is a media darling, but really is way out of his depth.

That leaves Sanders, who is a far left communist.

And Biden who is a centrist.

I'm picking Biden for the nomination next year. Though, really, who knows? Biden and Sanders might have to pull out, and Booker might gain the majority.

So far ive been really impressed with Mayor Pete's demeanor. That in and of itself would be a wonderful change for the nation.

In general im still waiting for policy details before getting behind a candidate.

I will say I think the dems will lose if they run a "moderate" candidate so folks like Biden and Hickenlooper are out as far as im concerned.

I like Mr Pete too. But he has zero chance.

I have to disagree. The 2018 midterms were Democrat successes, not because those that won were liberal enough, but because most of them appealed to centrist Democrats and Independents. The truth about US elections is that it is the Independents that cause the win. In 2016 about as many Independents went with Trump as went with Clinton.

Going even further left is going to give even MORE of the Mixed Ideology people, and MORE of the Independents, over to Trump. This is very simple political math. Winning over the far left, who are already in the bag, might win a left leaning liberal the nomination, due to how loud the far left is, but it isn't going to win the national election.

The thing about Harris is if you watch her grilling Generals and Admirals or whoever in the Senate, she is rude. So to hell with her. And I agree, the ones that should be up there are drowned out by the ones that shouldn't be.

Is that who you think the Demoncratic party will select, or is that who you'd pick out of the wide range of choices on offer?

Their going to pick Biden. All the Old White People who are in charge, and pretend to be leftist liberals, are going to make sure of it.

Yet again, handing it to Superdonald. Creepy Joe Biden's only selling point is that he was number two to The Great Obama, and only the hardcore loyalists would be persuaded by that, surely. Just like with Hillary(pbuh), they seem to be only concerned about what would appeal to their core of loyal supporters, rather than aspiring to attract those who just want to see America made a happier, fairer place. :(

Well, the Democrat choices are... Far left liberals, who are playing to 50% of Democrats and scaring the other 50%. OR... Joe, who doesn't scare that other 50% away, but whom the 50% that are liberal think he's not liberal enough. Either way, there's going to be people Butt-hurt and staying home.

All Trump has to do is hope that the economy keeps rolling, which most economists say it will, and he's in for Round 2. Then we'll get the Ginsburg seat for sure.

Dunno who the 2020 Dem nominee running against Trump will be.

Also don't know who the 2024 Dem nominee running against MICHAEL FLYNN will be.

Both Dem candidates will lose...that much we DO know...

I wonder if they expect even their own zombie voters to believe these numbers?

No matter what the real numbers may be, we'll never see them until election night.  I wonder if they'll use Russian collusion to explain it away again?  Losers...

I don't believe polls. They can make them say what they want to anyway. They can make them say what they want them to when they get to a certain point.

All last election they would have us believe (that weren't brain dead) that Hillary was leading in the polls, the entire time. Then she lost and the Russians and Donald got the blame.

The thing that baffles me still is that I think they actually believed their own lies.  They were so caught up in their rhetoric they forgot to be scientific with polling - just to be sure.  I'll never believe polling again.
