Wiki plus some obscure article from 2009?

How about you read...

"Oscillations of the baseline of solar magnetic field and solar irradiance on a millennial timescale" V. V. Zharkova, S. J. Shepherd, S. I. Zharkov & E. Popova Scientific Reports volume 9, Article number: 9197 (2019)

Zharkova (2019) shows that Total Solar Irradience since the Maunder Minimum has increased by 1-1.5 w/m2 which would COMPLETELY reverse any 0.2C/millennium forcing from the Milinkovich cycle. Or that the Sun's oscillation around the Solar systems barycenter is another unreported forcing that plays a major role despite or in concert with the Earth's Orbit.

Clearly the impacts of Milankovitich cycles - and the resultant feedbacks -  are greater than any small change in solar irradiance.    Unless you're suggesting the whole neoglaciation thing and advancing polar ice sheets was a hoax?

OMGz! She is Quetzalcoatl in the Flesh!!!

There is no time limit! Quetzalcoatl arrives by the Sea.

Its freakin Quetzalcoatl Dude! Bow down and worship the God of Prophesy.

Yes, pretty funny, and l had to look that word up, but serpent, Mesopotamian god, is a good analogy, as is a swastica with a green background.

I hope you guys are going to put palm frons on the port she eventually gets to, and l am sure that she will appear from her boat like an angel with a broken wing, in her environmentally friendly, white heshen, monk cloth, and holding her bible, (2040 Book).

She might even stand on a coal mountain and spout a sermon?

You know, "adults are idiots, follow me, l am going to hell, on earth, if you lot don't cough up", then cry's a lot, so if anyone questions her, they can be labelled as umm, nasty.

I only hope that someone puts a loudspeaker on a skyscraper and plays, "burn, baby, burn" or give us heathan a laugh.

Apparently it is a "Climate Emergency" in Australia, don't believe me good, ahem, l mean look at this dodgy source...

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/aug/03/australias-climate-stance-is-inflicting-criminal-damage-on-humanity

Quote

In response, we recently published a follow-up analysis: “The Third Degree: Evidence and implications for Australia of climate-related security risk”

The third degree, lol,....popcorn on standby.

Quote

We are already the fifth largest carbon polluter globally when exports are included – about 5% of global emissions. On current projections, by 2030 Australia will be responsible for a massive 13% of global emissions.

So according to this lemming, we should kill all exports to India and China, and have a major recession, so we can suffer with high unemployment on top of high electricity costs.

Typical greenie, response.

Quote

The government’s role should be to protect the future from the past, not the past from the future. When government refuses to lead, others must.

So even a dimwit can cough up a relatively intelligent sentence, but l agree boot out the current gov, (which Australians voted in) and put Greta in charge.

But New Zealand is leading way in stupidity in our region.

https://reneweconomy.com.au/new-zealand-shows-australia-how-its-done-on-emissions-policy-climate-72077/

Quote

“We are all in this together. Whether it’s supporting coastal communities to plan for sea level rise, making fuel efficient cars cheaper for families, or partnering with businesses and farmers to find the best ways to reduce their emissions and create sustainable jobs, our Government is working alongside New Zealanders to tackle the climate crisis,” climate change minister James Shaw said.

Lol, you and the other lemmings are.

Quote

“Phasing down free allocation to major industrial emitters that have been part of the scheme for some time helps the ETS do what it’s supposed to do: drive emissions down across all sectors of the economy to help ensure a stable climate for future generations.

A nice way of saying, kick out heavy, industries, so they go to a country like the US.

Quote

James Shaw, the minister for climate change and a Greens MP,  tabled the Zero Carbon Bill in parliament, which will establish a net zero emissions target for carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, as well as establishing an independent climate commission and a requirement to produce plans for climate adaptation.

https://reneweconomy.com.au/nz-unveils-zero-carbon-goal-but-goes-soft-on-sheep-emissions-52937/

Which translated from the seemingly intelligent remarks above, "We are completely F......ed".

NZ is too far away from AU, for a powercord, so if they go ahead, with "saving the planet" ringing in their ears, and nothing inbetween, and get a stinkin hot overcast day or night, (with no wind) they are really f....ed.

NZ has a lot of sheep, so taking the lemmings approach is of no surprize.

Maybe your Climate change emotions are interfering with your math skills?

Let me repeat what I said again so that maybe this time it will sink in. Your own source said the Milinkovich cycle represents a forcing of 0.2C/millennium. I then presented a Paper from Zharkova that said Solar irradiance has increased by 1 - 1.5 w/m2 since the industrial revolution (1750). I then told that via the IPCC's estimates that 1 w/m2 increase equals 0.303C of temperature increase.

So you can see 1 w/m2 change (0.303C) in TSI is greater than the Milinkovich forcing of 0.2C/millennium since the industrial revolution (0.053C).

Clearly on the timescales we are discussing, +0.303C TSI is greater and overwhelming the -0.053C Milinkovich forcing.

You are clearly having a rough time following the math here. That would be warming for the past 269 years, since 1750. Try to read the posts again and see if you can follow along.

I do try, but it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world :D

And also, in my opinion, rather a complicated one.

Plus, I always was useless at maths.

If only orbital parameters and iradiance were the only things that caused the Earth to warm or cool and there was nothing else involved at all.

And, on the millennial scale I was talking about, so it should.   I am not convinced that a small change in iradiance should suddenly make such a difference.   Especially when feedbacks are taken into account.  Nor am I aware of many climatologists thinking this to be the case.  But maybe I have missed some recent studies.

This is not going well for you. Your own source said the Orbital forcing was 0.2C/ millennium and I pointed out that Zharkova (2019) said TSI increased by 1. 1.5 w/m2 which equates to 0.303C since 1750AD.

Since you seem to be challenged mathematically, that TSI change since 1750 is GREATER than the Millennium Scale Orbital change.

Of course, if this recently published paper (predicting a temp increase of 2.5c by 2600 due to changes in irradiance) is right, it could overturn decades of climatology.  On the other hand .... maybe it's wrong?

Of course the difference between Zharkova and almost ALL OTHER CLIMATE SCIENCE is that Zharkova actually makes predictions that will shortly be falsifiable via monitoring changes in the Real World in the next decade or less!

Edit: Let me say it like this, Zharkova makes predictions that can't be GOAL POST MOVED like ALL OTHER CLIMATE SCIENCE in the next decade or less.

Germany's economy is in freefall, and Europe has 50m who have trouble paying their heating bills.

And my state with a true believer in charge, is closing down coal plants as fast as what is left of his brain can handle, (another 22% one if he gets reelected). This explains why our wage growth is stagnant, and he is on a building frenzy, trying to stave off a recession becoming more obvious to Victorians, becuase this dimwit doesn't think but acts.

Well, my popcorn machine is getting a workout today.

But let's see what the League of Extraordinary Gent,.....ahem. sorry League of Concerned Scientists has to say, (a warning plenty of laughs, especially after watching the above video). Especially when the guy above did this within a few hours, instead of the 75k gov teat suckers that took months to compile, well watch the video below. (and in their defense going to gov, funded lunches, brunches at 5 star restaurants does take it out of you, lol.

https://www.ucsusa.org/

As you can see, scary city backdrop, and of course "the perish in hellfire propaganda, (well, the whole, extremely well funded site is)" then the "we are scientists, economists, blah, blah, using science to protect our paypackets, ahem the environment, and so forth".

BS artists, that have too much cash, is closer to the truth.

And if you click on the Heat, impeding doom header there are plenty more laughs. And we wonder why the faithful are running rampant, they buy this crap and are scared by it, l would be more scared if l bought this crap.

But enough of this, let's see what REAL, science is showing us about the impending doom heat thingy.

This is real science, people holding signs, children with serious dyslexic issues, (l know the video was reversed) children whacking puddles, and dancing astronauts.

But they did say, 50 years, several times, l guess that clinches it, and here l thought that the first video showing silly things like charts from gov, organizations was the real science.

Yes, Real science endorsed by Daffy Duck.

Lol, this article is good, and spot on, Gore failed at almost every science subject, and has strong parallels with Hitler.

And yet he mesmerized and hypnotized a nation into believing he and his ilk were racially superior. In no time the finest German university science departments were teaching racial science, taught by respected German science professors. Textbooks were authored. Doctorates were awarded. The “science was settled”: Blacks being compared to monkeys, Jews as sub-humans. An entire “science” built on hokum. How dare anyone deny settled science!

This was in Hitlers time.

There is a story told of a scientist who tells a butterfly to fly — and it does! Then he clips its wings and again tells it to fly — but this time it does not fly. He records his scientific findings: “When a butterfly’s wings are clipped, it becomes deaf.” That is the Science and Theology of Global Warming/Climate Change. All lies and jest; still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest

Yeah, Victoria, AU, my state is going through a chilling week of freezing nights and windy/wet days, but that is not climate but weather, although since it is a week it might be a bit climaty as well.

Maybe l should join? Eventhough from this video it looks too religious for my liking, as well as being full of it.

The UCS Science Network is an inclusive community of more than 25,000 scientists, engineers, economists, public health specialists, and other experts across the country working to educate the public and inform decisions critical to our health, safety, and environment.

We call on our Science Network members to help us respond to a broad range of attacks on science, and help us build support for science-based decision making.  Whether it’s speaking with the media, delivering testimony and public comments, exposing misinformation, or building relationships with their legislators’ offices—Science Network members are stepping up and bringing their expertise to the policy making process.

25,000, lol, sure, l am sure a good part of that are sex workers?

Exposing misinformation, l guess that means they will be attacking themselves?

They forgot to include, "protecting our paychecks".

Don’t forget carbon dioxide

Of course, an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere is one of the reasons the climate is warming in the first place.

Of course it is, l believe you.

We will just ignore the glacier?

You can click on some of his other hilarious links at the bottom of the page, the IPCC telling everyone to go vegan, is the funniest, especially how many insects and small mammels die to create a field of peas.

But let's get serious here, we should ban beef burgers around the world, that'll fix it.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/university-bans-beef-burgers-help-18921142

Quote

Beef burgers have been banned by a university as part of efforts to tackle the climate change emergency.

This is in England, so there is a climate emergency there as well, and l thought that AU, had that EMERGENCY! ;)

Quote

Invoking the words of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, "Our house is on fire", Mr Leam added: "I believe Frances Corner and the university management are realising this and making these changes to put their part of the house fire out.

This guy, for want of a better word, is invoking Greta, a brainwashed 16 year old, so nothing more needs to be said, apart from shaking my head.

And this is the UK, which has far more overcast days than we do,l wish them luck with their lofty 100% carbon neutral, and their constant power blackouts.

Quote

"Declaring a climate emergency cannot be empty words. I truly believe we face a defining moment in global history and Goldsmiths now stands shoulder to shoulder with other organisations willing to call the alarm and take urgent action to cut carbon use."

With the emphasis on empty.

And l did look up the Sierra Club reference, with this, funny account of a dimwit that parrots dogma, and apparently refuses to see the obvious satellite data.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2015/10/08/ted-cruz-embarrasses-sierra-club-president-in-global-warming-hearings/#3072afc72217

Quote

Sen. Ted Cruz embarrassed Sierra Club President Aaron Mair during Senate hearings Tuesday, as Mair was repeatedly unable to answer straightforward questions about global warming.

Quote

Cruz: “How do you address the fact that in the last 18 years the satellite data show no demonstrable warming whatsoever?”

Mair: “Sir, I would rely upon the Union of Concerned Scientists, and I would rely upon the evidence, again, of our own NOAA officials, the data are there.”

Cruz: “Is it correct that the satellite data over the last 18 years demonstrate no significant warming?”

Mair: “No.”

Cruz: “How is it incorrect?”

Lol, so the union, etc or he relies upon an activist group and bent NOAA data, and possibly a dancing astronaut?

Quote

Mair: “Based upon our experts, it’s been refuted long ago, and there is no longer, it’s not up for scientific debate.”

I bet it is not up for debate, ....., why do l keep thinking about Yes Minister and stooges with no idea running large divisions?

Quote

Mair: “But Senator, 97 percent of the scientists concur and agree that there is global warming, and anthropogenic impact with regards to global warming.”

Cruz: “The problem with that statistic that gets cited a lot is that it’s based on one bogus study. And indeed your response . . . I would point out your response is quite striking. I asked about the science and the evidence, the actual data. We have satellites, they’re measuring temperature. That should be relevant. And your answer was, ‘Pay no attention to your lying eyes, and the numbers, that the satellites show. Instead, listen to the scientists who are receiving massive grants, who tell us, do not debate the science.’”

Lol, brainwashing is good. Doesn't get much dumber than this.

Quote

The computer models did not predict a global warming pause and cannot account for it. The Pause continues and global warming activists present new excuses and new denials every day. Nevertheless, the facts are the facts, and the facts show there has been no global warming for anywhere between 13 and 18 years. This year’s middle school graduates – and quite possibly this year’s high school graduates – have experienced no global warming in their lifetimes.

I guess that is weather, instead of climate? Or stupid instead of dumber?

Quote

Mair’s apparent unfamiliarity with the term is quite shocking for the president of an organization that frequently attempts to assert itself into the global warming debate.

Yes, no surprizes in the above link, l tried to have a discussion about this elsewhere, with "why bother" and "oil companies where behind Gores, and the scientific community's major failure", and then of course an attack to shut me up, since his unicorn was becoming p***ed.

Yeah, must be great to be right all of the time, unless you trade on the stockmarket, then you can convince yourself while you lose the lot.

About the only anthropogenic, exponential, homogenized and pasteurized emergency we and the UK have is human stupidity.
