And l thought that California's governor was the looniest?

Quote

Now, taking the prize as perhaps the most ignorant ******* in New York — which is really saying something — Gov. Andrew Cuomo (Loonbag-N.Y.) claims hurricanes never appeared on planet Earth before “climate change” occurred. In an interview with MSNBC, he said it straight out:

You know, anyone who questions extreme weather and climate change is just delusional at this point. We have seen in the State of New York what everyone is seeing. We see these weather patterns that we never had before. We didn’t have hurricanes, we didn’t have superstorms, we didn’t have tornadoes.

Who needs Greta? No wonder he is p****ing away taxpayers money on a wall around New York? Sea levels are rising since l want them to rise, not because they actually are. Why do l keep imaging men in white suits and a straight jacket paying him a visit?

Quote

As PJ Media reports, Andrew Cuomo is truly delusional. He’s also a denier of recorded history, which is no surprise since he’s a brainless ******* moron, and having no knowledge of reality now seems to be a requirement to be a member of the Democrat party:

I guess that is what happens when the cult looks shaky, the faithful that have been pampering their ego's with this crap, for the last 30 odd years, start becoming more insane to keep their unnatural obsession alive?

This whole thing would demand a box of popcorn and a coke, but since people are suffering, it is more black humor,.....and some alcohol.

The faithful will become increasingly stupider, to prop up the crumbling house of cards, then most likely do an about face, and say they were kidding. But just like Cortez, who said that she was joking, then did an about face, (and removed all references) and is on this cult sides again, crying wolf has a use by date.

:P

Out of interest then, how many recorded hurricanes have hit New York?

You're quoting Andrew Cuomo on the subject of climate change?  I agree.  That's delusional.

BUT:  he was sort of right.  He just got the dates wrong.  There were intense hurricanes that hit Long Island in 1893, 1821, 1788 and 1693.  There was a gap of about 300 years before that; it ended with the rise in water temperatures during the second half of the Little Ice Age.  Between about 2200 YBP and 900 YBP there were many "washovers" suggesting a period of intense hurricane activity.

Scileppi, E. and J. Donelly. (2007) Sedimentary evidence of hurricane strikes in western Long Island, New York.  Geochemistry Geophysics Geosystems 8(6) 1-25.  https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2006GC001463  5 November 2019.

Check out Figure 5 for a list of hurricanes that have hit Long Island.  R. A. Pielke, whom climate change deniers like to quote out of context is listed in the references.

Here's another list of storms that hit New York:  Kemp, A. and B. Horton.  2013.  Contribution of relative sea-level rise to historical hurricane flooding in New York City.  Journal of Quaternary Science.  28(6) 537-541.  https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/jqs.2653  5 November 2019.

New York was hit by seven hurricanes between 1788 and 2012; Sandy makes it eight.  Relative sea-level rise, which includes glacio-static rebound, is 56cm for The Battery tidal gauge between 1788 and 2012.  That includes 15cm of glacio-static rebound, making a sea-level rise of 41cm over 224 years.  That's more than twice the rate of rise for tSydney Harbor.  How about that, tmcom?

Storm surge flooding is the real problem with rising sea levels, not just a slowly-rising average.

Just to be sure the NY governor is completely mad...

HTyjPKD.jpg

Black and white, 1890, color one this year, or 130 years, which according to Unicorn datasets should show a 40 cm difference,.....l don't see it?

The retaining wall match is spot on as are the elevations, with the sea level being the same and high tide marks being the same, (when compared with high tide marks further up).

Yeah, l know damm Unicorns!

The high tide mark appears to be at least 2ft higher in the more recent picture ;)

The Battery tide gauge shows a tidal run of 2.08m, twice a day.  That's 208cm or four times the sea level rise since 1890.  tmcom could have shown a much smaller (or larger) change just by selecting the right time of day to take the picture.  He doesn't have to resort to photoshopping his pictures.  THIS is what we mean by "pseudo-science."

But I agree:  Andrew Cuomo is completely off his rocker when it comes to climate change.

I know the faithful will make any excuse since they have issues, but evidence speaks for itself.

In the high tide and low tide chart, we can see that the first high tide was at 3:45 am and the next high tide will be at 3:58 pm. The first low tide was at 9:43 am and the next low tide will be at 10:19 pm.

So this is at low tide obviously, since high is at nightime, but of course it is the moon or jupiter or the sun, or Unicorns, or a serious mental illness. Some have been brainwashed so much, they cannot see what is in front of them, amazing.

You didn't account for isostatic rebound, either.  That plus actual sea level rise adds up to 54cm since 1890 at The Battery.  When you take out isostatic rebound, the sea level rise is only 41cm.  If you corrected for for that in your pix, you could show a decline in sea levels with your photoshopped pictures.  How about showing some data?

Tides are controlled by the position of the sun and moon relative to the earth.  There are two tides a day, but the times precess, changing slightly every day.  In order to know what the tides were, you have to know what time it was.  Those pictures don't show a time.

The Leap Tide (highest of the month) occurs at the peak of the full moon.  The Neap Tide (lowest of the month) occurs on the quarter-moon.

I guess everyone has heard this crock?

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/11/05/world/climate-emergency-scientists-warning-intl-trnd/index.html

This is what the leftist ABC has reported, from a doctor apparently, doctor of Climate Change????

Quote

More than 11,000 scientists around the world have signed a scientific paper declaring a climate emergency, backing protesters across the world demanding action.

Funny thing is, l cannot find the report, go to the Bioscience site there is only a couple of end is nigh paragraphs, but no PDF, report anywhere?

So we just take their word for the 11k, like the dodgy report for the 97% and 99% now!

But thankfully Tony H, has covered this, so l may figure out this mythical report from him?

But the above link, video, says that the jet stream magically moves up and down, so we can have more extreme cold weather, while, well you know, unicorn science.

I won't bore you with quotes, but it sounds like a dying cult, with more people studying coastlines and realizing nothing is happening, is gaining speed, so the cult is getting more desperate.

And apparently we need to go back to 100% renewables, and ditch meat, and children,...so the poor die, we get used to power blackouts, and very high electricity costs, and don't eat meat, and keep children to two only, lol, sure!

Quote

The paper, published in the journal BioScience, declares the climate crisis "has arrived" and is "accelerating faster than most scientists expect".

Or translated, our funding drying up has arrived, and is accelerating faster than blah, blah!

They may fool themselves and the fools, but the masses, not really, or not forever!

:P

Latest reports are that Micky Mouse is one of the illustrious scientists on the list, (above) which is a surprize, since l always thought that Kermit the Frog was?

And access to this dodgy last attempt at funding, isn't free for all, or you would need to subscribe to their, (spam list) to see it, so l will probably never see it, sniff.

Or well it will show up on a Fruit Loops packet soon enough!

This just in, apparently "Micky Mouse is from the Micky Mouse School of the Blind" (don't try looking it up, it doesn't exist).

This really shows, maybe even to the faithful that refuse to see, how stupid this whole subject is! And the ABC in AU, pushed this, or the 11k part, and now look like total d***ks!

The more desperate the dumber it all becomes, since no current emergency exists, l have to buy popcorn stocks, and make a donation to the Micky Mouse Club, lol, sorry school of the blind.

:lol:PS Professor Dumbledore of Hogwarts in the USA, is also, (l believe listed) although Professor Dumbledore of Hogwarts in the UK, may be more accurate, although it is a nightmare to find the train station.

Progress report:  Spent the week working on the edge plot presentations.  The PowerPoint is done.  I just had the pleasure of watching a Photoshop expert take my rough PowerPoint and turn it into a work of art.  Fantastic.  tmcom needs to hire him to doctor his sea level images.  Maybe then they'll be believable.  Still have the poster to finish and print, the abstract to print and the white paper to finish and print.  Should take a day.  Then back to data entry for the rest of next week.

See y'all next week.

Gee, l don't know how l could have been so wrong? And the above expert is from the 11,000 scientists, although l believe that Dumbledore from Hogwarts is more of an authority, (he has a magic wand, Micky only had a magicians hat for a limited time, and caused a flood) lol. But he seems pretty happy about drowing, so l will give him points for staying positive.

These morons are actually going after us, but here are a few highlights, (transgenic drugs are optional).

Quote

Wow, was this a bad year for those who deny the reality and the significance of human-induced climate change.

Was it?

Quote

But those denialists are having a tough time now as they look around the planet for ANY evidence that climate change is not happening. The problem is, they’ve been striking out.

Lol, doesn't get any funnier than this nutjob, try looking at coastlines for 100 years!

Quote

And just recently, perhaps the most important bit of information came out about 2014 – how much the Earth actually warmed. What we find is that the warming is so great, NOAA literally has to remake its graphs. Let me explain this a bit.

Remake its charts, nothing new there, they keep BS their charts regularly.

Quote

So when we look back on 2014 and the records that fell, it gives us some pause about the so-called pause (hat-tip to Dr. Greg Laden for that phrase). Some people tried to tell us global warming had “paused”, that it ended in 1998, or that the past 15 years or so had not seen a change in the energy of the Earth. This ocean warming data is the clearest nail in that coffin. There never was a pause to global warming, there never was a halt, and the folks that tried to tell you there was were, well, I’ll let you decide. For me, the facts speak for themselves.

Yeah, nail in the coffin for a nutcase, the facts speak for themselves, true, the planet is warming and oceans are rising, eventhough no one can find any evidence of this with image comparisons of coastlines?

I know some might be licking their lips about creating a new, improved bottle of snake oil, and making a buck, and possibly clinging to their beliefs, but a house of cards won't stand forever.

Now that the baseless, humor of predicting hurricanes and preventative measures, is over with, we can get back to the real world.

Yes, Micky Mouse and mass genocide,.....there is a connection there?

Seems that if we nuke Africa, the fallout and dramatic decrease in population will fix the problem? Or we have a fear based, action orientated mob, that won't listen anymore, and prefers to run around like chickens with their heads cut off, than calm down, and see, (slick junk sites are not factural, they look great since they are well funded, and want to continue to be well funded)!

But of course we are in the middle of a climate emergency, eventhough we cannot visually see any sea level rise anywhere!!!!!!!!!!

PS datasets can be faked, museum image comparisons with current day, virtually impossible to fake!

Just watched The Predator, 2018 movie, and they used the climate change, we will be gone in two generations, nonsense, which was a pity, not a bad movie til they used that cult sewage.

This is from the above Micky Mouse conference...

See Micky is an expert, he created a flood.
