Still Waters Posted June 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2019 A rare 2,000-year-old wooden arm has been recovered from the bottom of a Roman well. The "finely carved" limb was found by archaeologists excavating land at the Warth Park industrial estate in Raunds, Northamptonshire. Experts believed the discovery is of national and international importance, because of its location - and survival. Wood specialist Michael Bamforth said it may have been an offering to the gods. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-48712130

LucidElement Posted June 24, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2019 2,000 year old wooden arm found in a well, as an offering to the .... Gods? I always find these finds fascinating. 2,000 years is a long time. But even more so, how would believe that any God would be interested in a wooden arm? The fact it was found in a well further complicates things for me lol https://www.foxnews.com/science/wooden-arm-found-england
