I would think if it was a hoax it would have been made somewhat more attention getting.

Have you seen their video of the shop? I must say they did get my attention, the shop is wicked. :D

I very much doubt they would risk dropping any of those guitars by loosening the strings (not the guitar strings ) , a little sway will do not to see the whole lot collapsing like a set of dominoes.

Some (if not most ) of their stock is commission sales, so its not theirs, they can not risk any damage by having a guitar swinging like a pendulum on spinach (yeah its in a new thread) .

Once again a drive for fame and fortune is behind yet another paranormal; video. Call me skeptical but I also think  that just becomes a last resort easy-out explanation for the anti-paranormal types. But every time? We each must judge likelihoods for ourselves.

Papameter holds at: 60% Paranormal      40% Hoax or natural phenomena

And I would actually give some natural phenomena explanation as likely a chance as a hoax.

It has that plastic look and feel to it it's why i smell a hoax. It is said that 98% of what we experience and believe to be paranormal can be explained.

Air vents in the floor or ceiling.

Was just Elvis looking at the electric guitars. He smacked the price tag off the last 1. Was Overpriced

No I think it was Jimi Hendrex, he use to swing his guitar just like that.

Cant see how this could bring in business, being subtle makes me think it could be something paranormal.I still don't believe actual ghosts can be filmed. All the pics or vids of supposed ghosts look nothing like what I've witnessed.

Well I'm curious what have you witnessed in comparison to what's been filmed out there?

I have seen ghosts as some would imagine, white human like, floating above the ground. They vary widely but are usually a glimpse, like a picture, but its the feeling that no movie or pic can capture.Ghosts are just a fraction of the stuff I've experienced, sometimes beautiful other times sad or bad or scared.

"Go big or go home" is probably not the best advice when creating a hoax.  And it appears this story is getting tons of coverage as it is.

Absolutely. My elderly aunt used to think her late husband was turning the living room light off and on to show he was still around. In reality, it was a shaky table lamp, with a loose bulb and worn socket, not far from a street where heavy trucks rumbled by on a regular basis. In my aunt's case, her belief comforted her and was harmless but if this shop is purposely perpetrating a hoax to promote their shop, I hope it backfires on them.

tons?? I only heard of it because I am on an obscure forum called Unexplained Mysteries. This guitar store video is not the kind of thing you can talk about in the general public and expect more than a one in a hundred thousand chance they heard of it. But there is a happy medium between too subtle and too outrageous for hoaxers to reach. I am of the mindset though that many suggestive paranormal videos are  from people being honest and not hoaxing.

So a breeze from a vent blows through a store and now they call it haunted - guitar guys need to find a better way to waste time.

You need to expand your news sources then. This is not even in the first SIX places I heard this story.

It is a matter of perspective then. I take it you spend more time on fringe sources than 99% of the general public.

Nice attempt to poop on my reading matter simply because your's seems to be lacking. The story is all over the internet --Twitter and Facebook and YouTube, for example -- as well as various local new sources/media.  I'm curious what you call "fringe" if it isn't the only source where you seem to be getting your news.

I repeat, it is a matter of perspective.

There are a few million things that could be said to be 'all over', twitter, you-tube, facebook….

Is that your best argument?  If the story is on (listen carefully now) media sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and it is searchable in engines such as Google, then it is getting massive publicity which is, if you can recall back that far, what I originally contended.

Welcome new guy, I see you've met george - please know that he and his type are a minority here, the rest of us appreciate logical and critical thinking along with properly presented evidence. He does not speak for the typical forum user by a LONG shot.
