Grim Reaper 6 Posted July 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2019 (edited) It appears that some of the smaller Dinosaurs evolved into birds. Thanks to the great fossil evidence coming out of China, it shows that some of the smaller meat eating Dinosaurs, including the Velociraptor had feathers. Now scientists think they understand how they also developed beaks. https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2019/01/fossil-feathers-reveal-how-dinosaurs-took-flight https://theconversation.com/how-did-dinosaurs-evolve-beaks-anyd-become-birds-scientists-think-they-have-the-answer Edited July 4, 2019 by Manwon Lender

Carnoferox Posted July 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2019 Yes, this has been widely accepted by paleontologists since the 1970's and was suggested as early as the 1870's. Nothing new. 1

Nothing new. The thing that is new are all the fossils coming out of China, that show the transition. Along with the transition from a mouth full of teeth to a beak.
