Well, I've never come across anything like that in all my life. I think I would have freaked out if I'd have found that in my house!

Its a Gandhi moth... or at least that's how I spell it, I don't think it has an English name, just a massive latin type one...

Creepy has hell but many moths are.

It's always a good idea to read the whole article.

It tells you what the critter is:

Quote

As it turns out however, Hari's unusual visitor was in fact a harmless species of moth known as Creatonotos gangis which is typically native to Australia and south-east Asia.

I would have read the whole article if it was posted in the Natural World forum, I assumed when its posted in the Cryptozoology forum that it qualifies as the study of animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated.

  • The title was changed to Weird 'alien-like' creature filmed in Indonesia

Moth or not I would not want to find one in my house.

Alien or not my cat would have gone completely ape****, hunted it down and ate it. He loses his mind over moths. Tasty.

one has to wonder how many small aliens, faries, gnomes etc have ended up as a snack for garfield, healthcliff or bill the cat....

I'd actually like to see that thread here. Living in South Louisiana, I've seen my share of weird looking critters. LOL
