Popular Post GoldenWolf Posted July 8, 2019 Popular Post #1 Share Posted July 8, 2019 Pope Francis has declared that a late US television preacher once performed a miracle, moving him one step closer to sainthood. The Vatican announced on Saturday the formal approval of the miracle, thought to relate to claims about a baby’s extraordinary recovery in an Illinois hospital. The Diocese of Peoria believes that Archbishop Fulton J Sheen – who died in 1979 – interceded in 2010 on behalf of a baby who began breathing 61 minutes after showing no signs of life at birth. https://news.yahoo.com/pope-francis-claims-us-televangelist-174013170.html --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Talion78 Posted July 8, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2019 I'm not religious in the slightest, but if you want to see evil and self indulgence look no further than the Vatican. 2

I take it you have no problem with Jimmy Swaggart, Tammy Sue and What's his face Bakker, or pretty face Joel Osteen. When you take that look around for evil, make certain it goes all the way around. 2

XenoFish Posted July 8, 2019 #14 Share Posted July 8, 2019 I wonder how much of a spiritual con-artist I would need to be in order to reach sainthood?
Robotic Jew Posted July 8, 2019 #15 Share Posted July 8, 2019 I believe it. I perform miracles several times a week by opening jars and finding items my fiance can't seem to locate. 1

+Hammerclaw Posted July 9, 2019 #21 Share Posted July 9, 2019 On a more curious note; how did Holy Mother Church determine a dead priest interceded? Was it some arduous process, or was it divine revelation? Enquiring minds want to know.

It's from where we get the phrase "devil's advocate".
