Flat Earth Football Club

Recommended Posts

A football club in Spain has chosen a rather peculiar name.

Quote

A promotion to the Spanish fourth flight has been followed by a change in name for Mostoles Balompie as the club is now called Flat Earth FC.

Their president Javi Poves decided to rename the club to support the flat earth movement and its followers around the world.

"We are a professional football club in the Spanish fourth tier and we are born to unite the voices of millions of flat earth movement followers and all those people who are looking for answers," announced Poves.

Interesting.

Let's say that Earth is flat. How would gravity work? I mean, could we play football in the same way, would the ball behave in the same manner? Just wondering if this football club thingy is a bit ironic or it's that gravity and me are world's apart :D

It would be weakest in the middle, and strongest at the edge. In fact, the walk to the edge would be like climbing a mountain.

I guess that means that there are dragons doing the goal keeping?

:P Shudder to think who is doing the cheerleading, probably the surviving lizards that fell to Earth when Nabiru flew past us?
