Still Waters Posted July 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2019 A plot to escape from a prison in Argentina went awry for a group of inmates after their tunnel led to where the penitentiary's K-9 unit is housed. According to Argentine outlet Clarin, it took the prisoners almost two days to construct a tunnel near the Unit 24 cell area, at the Florencia Varela Penitentiary in Buenos Aires. It extended six feet out towards the yard and its escape exit was three feet wide and and five feet deep. To throw off any suspicion, the suspects, who were part of a carpentry work program, completely covered the hole with a piece plywood and then littered it with sawdust. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7238063/Inmates-busted-digging-escape-tunnel-led-prison-yard-K-9-unit-kept.html
