I have a friend of a friend.. they just recently read a book about Devil in the White City.. I read it a while ago and hadn't thought about the lore in a while.

And they wondered about the Whitechapel club. And so did I in retrospect. It is true crime and not, historical legend and not, Urban legend and soooo...

Figured the best place to try to turn up some backbone to this almost CT UL legend would be the True Crime area around here.

Anyone want to go on what might be a perfectly legal and maybe not crimes and maybe not? I stop here in TC first to get some level headed stuff before passing on to other more spooky suff.

I've never read the book though I read one about H H Holmes a long time ago, but from what I found the Whitechapel Club was real if that's what you're asking. It was founded in 1889 by a group of reporters. Found some interesting articles.
