what kind of a democracy is it when you can't choose your leader? Usually when a country doesn't get to choose its leader and has it imposed by the decision of the ruling party, most people would call that a dictatorship.

The head of state- un-elected, position restricted to one family (mafia like)

The head of government, choice totally at whim of ruling party (communist)

Second chamber - un-elected  many members hold hereditary positions (feudal)

formal intertwining of church and state (medieval)

UK democracy is no more than diluted feudalism.

Speaking alongside Trump, his [Boris Johnson's] language was more conciliatory, however. “I congratulate the president on everything the American economy is achieving. It’s fantastic to see that.

“But just to register a faint, sheeplike note of our view on the trade war – we are in favour of trade peace on the whole,”

How  the mighty have fallen.

He needs to publicly reap praise onto Trump.

Trump is seeking validation and if Boris validates him he could use his influence to get American economic favour.

Call it want you like - it showed a UK Prime Minister too weak and timid by the situation he finds himself in to speak bravely, lest he incur the wrath of big brother.  Shows very clearly the UK's standing in the world.

It would have been much better had he said nothing at all. "faint and sheeplike" ...

Had May said that you'd be up in arms.

Sorry this is just BS,  Macrons licked his ass cuddled kissed and held hands with him and said nothing in English to his face, the same with Merkel, i don't want Boris to say anything but praise to Trump, blow smoke up his ass, this as gone on since nations formed, it's called diplomacy, make friends with him first and if you have any concerns talk in private.

If you think that Boris is weak and timid then you know very little.

He was put in charge to bully the EU lol.

Correct, the job of Boris is to find the weakness of each political leader.

With Trump its his ego so Boris must ingratiate himself and validate the president. Publicly heap the praise onto him, get him addicted, then every time he disappoints the UK withdraw it as a punishment. Once Trump knows what gets him his supply then he will play ball and give Boris what the UK wants.

So Boris has done it.

It has been announced today he has asked the Queen to prorogue Parliament on 14th October. Its in place, its ready to go, its happening!

Boris now has to make it through 2 weeks of no confidence votes and only has a majority of one. Finally, its coming to an end. We will know in a fortnight if we will be leaving shortly via a No Deal or going for a General Election lol.
