Alessi portrayed an imperious Maxwell letting it be known that she should be treated as “the lady of the house” and handing out a 58-page booklet with rules for staff on everything from how to address the pair to how to dress to what types of notepads to put on their desks.

'Checklists will assist you in making sure every task has been completed and not even the smallest detail has been overlooked,” the book said, instructing employees to “try to anticipate” Epstein and Maxwell's needs and to “hear nothing, say nothing” except when spoken to.

“I was supposed to be blind, deaf and dumb and say nothing of their lives," Alessi said.

Staffers had to “run the house like a five-star hotel,” keep Epstein’s cars washed and stocked with $100 bills in them for his weekend visits — and weren’t supposed to look him in the eye. Maxwell said he didn’t like such eye contact, according to Alessi, who said he began working at the house as a renovation subcontractor and eventually managed it. He left in 2002.

Earlier Thursday, psychologist Lisa Rocchio testified that child sexual abusers often groom their victims in a progression that includes giving presents, building a sense of trust and gradually introducing more sexualized talk and touching. Victims often don't come forward right away, she said.

Prince Andrew's cousin has made comments about Maxwell. She's been mentioned several times throughout this thread.

https://www.themix.net/2021/12/prince-andrews-cousin-makes-damning-claims-about-ghislaine-maxwell/

A cousin of Prince Andrew, Christina Oxenberg, who has ties to both Maxwell and Epstein, is now speaking out to give some shocking new details about the 59-year-old British socialite.

“Jeffrey paid her very well,” Christina Oxenberg, cousin to the British Royal family, told Fox News. “She started working for him pretty much immediately after her father died. I think she saw him as her savior. She wanted everyone to believe they were a couple. She wanted to marry Jeffrey. I have no idea if Jeffrey knew about this. My suspicion is that he did because he [wasn’t] a dummy.”

Oxenberg, who met Maxwell in 1990, is the author of the book Trash: Encounters with Ghislaine Maxwell. She claims in her new interview that Maxwell tried to hire her in 1997 to ghostwrite an autobiography for her.

Oxenberg, 58, went on to allege that during this 1997 meeting, Maxwell “went into detail” about “getting girls for Jeffrey” to satisfy his sexual needs.

“She told me he had been diagnosed by doctors as having a sex drive that required him to have three orgasms a day,” Oxenberg continued “And so, she couldn’t be expected to keep up with this. I’m using her words… I had a really bad feeling about this… Had I known she was talking about children I would have lost my mind and have gone straight to the police… I responded very negatively, but I thought she was talking about consenting adults.”

Oxenberg was left “disgusted” by Maxwell allegedly referring to the women as “trash.”

“She was talking about humans as if they were disposable, for the purpose of sex,” said Oxenberg. “I was just furious. And I was fed up. I did not spot the red flags, but I did react very negatively. The fact that she was speaking about human beings in this horrible way was very offensive to me. But again, I thought she was discussing consensual adults here.”

A 58 page booklet!?  What an insane load of bs. I wonder if Maxwell will bother to read the jailhouse regs.?

1) Don’t look your fellow prisoners in the eye, etc.

Some photos of unclad young girls were shown to the jury today but the judge didn't allow many of them.

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article256325897.html

The prosecution in the Ghislaine Maxwell sex trafficking trial suffered a series of setbacks Friday as Maxwell’s lawyers successfully challenged a key witness’ testimony and persuaded the judge to exclude FBI photographs of Jeffrey Epstein’s New York mansion.

On Friday, the defense and prosecutors argued before the start of court over whether jurors should be permitted to see lurid photographs that were taken by police during a 2005 raid of Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion.

The police photographs were images of framed pictures in his home that showed a partially clad prepubescent girl.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey said the photographs are relevant because they are “evidence of Jeffrey Epstein’s lifestyle” that “contradicts the public persona presented by the defense.”

Judge Alison Nathan ultimately allowed two of the framed Palm Beach photographs to be shown to the jury — one of them an image of the girl laying over Epstein’s lap, her bottom exposed and Epstein pretending to bite her.

But the prosecution lost a round when Nathan excluded photographs taken by the FBI in a 2019 search of his New York mansion.

While the images mostly depict what an accuser in the case described as the “dark and creepy” decor she saw in a visit to the house in 1994, prosecutors revealed Friday that the FBI also found a bag of “very small” schoolgirl costumes near Epstein’s massage room.

The photographs should have been shown to one of Maxwell’s accusers, who is known under the pseudonym “Jane,” to get her to testify whether the home depicted in the 2019 police photographs was roughly the same mansion she visited in 1994 when she was 14.

“You could have and should have shown her the photographs after her testimony,” Nathan said.

The judge, however, left the door open for prosecutors to come up with another way to get the photographs admitted as evidence.

Recap of trial testimony with some details.  From the Law&Crime website:

Top Takeaways from the First Week of Ghislaine Maxwell’s Sex Trafficking Trial

Dec. 3

Quote

Earlier this week, Maxwell’s first accuser “Jane” wept on the witness stand recounting harrowing testimony accusing her of participating in Jeffrey Epstein’s childhood sexual abuse when she was 14 years old. Defense attorneys zealously attempted to undermine her decades-old memories by contrasting them with what she told law enforcement roughly two years ago, but multiple witnesses backed up important aspects of testimony.

[,,,]

“Jane” told jurors that the first of these encounters involved Epstein mas*urba*ing on her in a pool house. In other incidents, Maxwell touched her breast, and Epstein subjected her to “painful” abuse with a back massager being used as a sex toy, she charged.

[,,,]

Trying to undermine “Jane’s” fondling accusation against Maxwell, Menninger said: “It is true that you do not recall Ghislaine ever touching you?”

“That’s not true,” she replied.

Menninger suggested the government’s unverified notes of the unrecorded meetings showed otherwise, but the defense attorney extracted some concessions from the witness. “Jane” said she did not recall whether she previously told the government she was not sure Maxwell ever kissed her.

“You told the government that Ghislaine never saw you perform oral sex on Epstein, correct?” Menninger asked.

“That’s correct,” she said.

At one point, a frustrated “Jane” noted: “Memory is not linear.”

[,,,]

On Friday, Maxwell’s other attorney Jeffrey Pagliuca disclosed “Jane’s” true name — and was admonished by U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan.

Law&Crime will not be identifying her, as she testified that, as a survivor of sexual assault, she does not wish to be identified.

Randy Andy’s the Defence’s Hail Mary play, basically they’ll call him in the full knowledge that Big Bet will be in here grace before allowing Andrew to testify, so the court case will have to be suspended until he appears or declared a mistrial due to insufficient evidence.

He probably isn't even scheduled to testify. He has his own case coming up. He's not vital to the evidence in this trial but I think his name will come up. Ghislaine won't get a mistrial on that.

A second victim calling herself "Kate" was on the witness stand today. This encounter occurred in Ghislaine's London townhouse. Since Kate was 17 at the time, they couldn't be called illegal acts as she was of the age of consent in England. (Remember, age has nothing to do with trafficking laws.) The article is a good recap of last week's testimony also.

Carolyn testified today. She says she was 14 when she met Maxwell.

An FBI analyst also testified and showed the court pictures taken from hard drives found in Epstein's Manhattan home. This says the prosecution may rest their case on Thursday.

Another FBI analyst, Kimberly Mader, also testified Tuesday that CDs were found in several rooms in Epstein’s townhouse. Many of the photos contained on the CDs were of Epstein and Maxwell together, with one photo showing Maxwell wearing a revealing outfit and massaging his feet while onboard an airplane. A photo of Epstein and Maxwell kissing, which had been found at Epstein’s Palm Beach home during a 2005 raid, was also shown.

The author of the notes or their purpose was not clear, the Post reported.

Mader’s testimony Tuesday continued where she had left off Monday, having begun testimony at the end of the day. The Daily Wire reported Monday that Mader and FBI Special Agent Kelly Maguire both testified about the 2019 raid:

"Carolyn's" ex-boyfriend "Shawn" testified today about how he would drive Carolyn to Epstein's Miami home.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/ghislaine-maxwells-trial-enters-eighth-day-testimony-fourth-victim-expected-soon-2021-12-08/

https://news.yahoo.com/ghislaine-maxwell-ex-boyfriend-accuser-222310787.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAGh6_3gD2977PpxVMA64d8rE43ZPwTXP_pYCB7Zcj56UAPsmR2HNaXPQ9XlbIagGOFAeu96uB8hIIaqZnilovo2RGHKAEbqO8EelrjANGKxCr11i5alvzcoKEyrWLwc7uQdr9GdNgs578S0koMtQfrQpQtGulcxiR1v2VD-oJMRW

The ex-boyfriend of an accuser in Ghislaine Maxwell's sex crimes trial has given testimony that she performed sex acts on paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

He told the court on Wednesday that his ex-girlfriend, Carolyn, "worked for Jeffrey" between the ages of 14 and 18.

He would often drive Carolyn and other underage female friends to Epstein's mansion, he said. They would return with hundred dollar bills in hand.

The court also heard from David Rodgers, a former long-time pilot for Epstein, who detailed trips from his log book under questioning from prosecutors.

Mr Rodgers said Ms Giuffre, one of Epstein's most vocal accusers, flew with him 32 times in the early 2000s, while another accuser Jane - due to testify this week - was aboard at least four times.

He also provided details of trips to and from Travers City, Michigan in the summer of 1994. Jane has alleged she met Epstein as a 14-year-old camping in the area.

On Wednesday, prosecutors also showed jurors photos of Ms Maxwell with Epstein relaxing at Balmoral, the British royal family's Scottish estate.

The undated photo appears to have been taken in 1999, when Prince Andrew reportedly invited the couple to stay at Balmoral in the Scottish Highlands.

Is the prosecution fumbling the Maxwell case? The announcement that they will rest their case by Friday stunned reporters.

I for one sure hope they aren't blowing this trial.

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/12/the-prosecution-is-fumbling-its-case-against-ghislaine-maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell is on trial, but the case has always been about more than her. In seeking to put the disgraced British heiress behind bars for a possible 80 years, prosecutors are aiming to redress serial failures by the justice system to punish the crimes of her partner: the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Which is why it’s shocking—and tragic—that the prosecution’s case against Maxwell appears far weaker than many people expected. The list of prosecutorial missteps is long. Victims have appeared unprepared for cross-examination. High-profile coconspirators have not yet been called to testify about Maxwell’s alleged role in Epstein’s child sex trafficking operation. On Tuesday, prosecutors stunned reporters in the courthouse viewing room by announcing the government intends to rest its case before Friday—weeks earlier than anticipated. It all raises the painful question: Will Maxwell go free?

The weakest plank in the prosecution’s case, however, has been the lack of testimony from Epstein’s innermost circle. Prosecutors haven’t called Epstein’s highest-profile accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, to the stand, even though her name has been mentioned numerous times by other witnesses. Meanwhile, Epstein’s controversial 2007 nonprosecution agreement listed four alleged coconspirators: Sarah Kellen, Adriana Ross, Lesley Groff, and Nadia Marcinkova (Notably, Maxwell’s name wasn’t included). These women conceivably could testify about Maxwell’s role in the alleged sex trafficking operation. Why didn’t the government gain their cooperation against Maxwell? And if the women didn’t cooperate, why didn’t the government charge them too? (The women have denied any allegations.) It’s possible that the government may call one or more  before resting.

Of course, it’s impossible to predict how members of the jury will rule—especially since cameras in the viewing room don’t show their faces. But given the stakes of the trial, the government surely hoped for an open-and-shut case. They had more than 500 days to prepare one, and they didn’t.

A lawyer became ill today and needed medical attention so the jury was sent home and the trial was stopped for today. It should resume tomorrow. A fourth victim is expected to take the stand.

https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/12/09/nyregion/ghislaine-maxwell-trial

The jury in Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial was sent home on Thursday morning, and the trial put on temporary hold, after a federal judge told the court that a lawyer in the case was sick and needed medical attention.

Judge Alison J. Nathan said she expected the trial to continue on Friday.

The announcement followed a brief discussion among the lawyers in the judge’s robing room, and after a government witness — a FedEx employee — finished her brief testimony Thursday morning.

Judge Nathan said the lawyer in question was necessary for the direct examination of an upcoming witness, the last of four accusers expected to take the witness stand in Ms. Maxwell’s trial. The judge said there was no reason to think the lawyer’s illness was Covid-19, but said the trial would break to make sure the lawyer received care.

Annie Farmer took the stand today. The prosecution rested. I'm surprised they did that.

The judge said the jury will return Thursday December 16 to hear the defense case, adding that closing arguments could take place as early as December 20 depending on how long the defense case lasts.
