Orphalesion Posted August 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2019 Whatever happened to the plan of the Flat Eartheners to go to Antarctica to look at the wall of the world? So that we can strand them there 2

Vorg Posted August 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2019 (edited) Another link said, this is just about the homemade rockets, not an attempt to prove the earth is flat. Which at his attempted altitude of 5,000' isn't likely. Edited August 11, 2019 by South Alabam

+DanL Posted August 11, 2019 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2019 If he wants to see the world from 5,000 feet or higher all he needs to do is book a flight on a short hop commuter flight. Even at 30,000, you don't see anything that would tell you much about the shape of the Earth. His flat-Earth stuff is all just to get attention for his daredevil stunts.
highdesert50 Posted August 11, 2019 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2019 Hmmm, he could have flown to about 40000 ft in a commercial airliner, used a wide angle lens camera, and with careful measurement attained results. Alternatively, sent up a high altitude balloon with camera. Regardless, he seems well on his way to earning a Darwin award.

Seti42 Posted August 11, 2019 #10 Share Posted August 11, 2019 The home made pale green rocket is great, but it's the baseball cap with flipped back bunny ears that really makes the photo.

It would explain his fascination with high altitude balloon flights and now Virgin Galactic. He wants to be the first up too so he can have a look if the world is really round lmao.
