Whatever happened to the plan of the Flat Eartheners to go to Antarctica to look at the wall of the world? So that we can strand them there

It'd be funny if he stays in orbit.

He's not even close to achieving orbit.

Another link said, this is just about the homemade rockets, not an attempt to prove the earth is flat. Which at his attempted altitude of 5,000' isn't likely.

If he wants to see the world from 5,000 feet or higher all he needs to do is book a flight on a short hop commuter flight. Even at 30,000, you don't see anything that would tell you much about the shape of the Earth. His flat-Earth stuff is all just to get attention for his daredevil stunts.

Hmmm, he could have flown to about 40000 ft in a commercial airliner, used a wide angle lens camera, and with careful measurement attained results. Alternatively, sent up a high altitude balloon with camera. Regardless, he seems well on his way to earning a Darwin award.

At best he]ll feel his head is indeed round as it will become bloated some time later he*ll know his head will become flat

The home made pale green rocket is great, but it's the baseball cap with flipped back bunny ears that really makes the photo.

Self-taught rocket scientist and flat Earth obsessive 'Mad' Mike Hughes will attempt his latest stunt later today.

I`m almost 100% certain that Richard Branson is a Flat Earther.

It would explain his fascination with high altitude balloon flights and now Virgin Galactic. He wants to be the first up too so he can have a look if the world is really round lmao.

Update:

"A 'self-taught rocket scientist' has failed in his bid to launch 5,000 feet into the air after the $325 boiler he bought off Craigslist broke down."

Full report at the UK Daily Mail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-7351789/Flat-Earthers-bid-launch-5-000-feet-air-homemade-steam-rocket-fails.html

He may try again August 17th.
