This series was due out some time ago, apparently it was delayed in post production due to extra time needed for visual effects. I think now the bbc might keep this for latter and air it over Christmas/ New year?

I hope it will be available for us "yanks".  It looks like a good version.  I remember when I was in junior high and one of the teachers told us how a radio play based on the book cause havoc and panic in the big cities because people missed the first part that explained it was a ply and thought it was real.
