The sad thing is that Trump thinks it's okay to buy and sell citizens and their homes.

The sad thing is that trump does not think, at least not fast enough to prevent vocalizations of stupidity and alternative facts.

Are you aware this looks like you're defending the idiocy so profound and so unattached to the reality it manifested, among other bizarrely stupid embarrassments, as an inquiry about possibilities to buy Greenland?

An inquiry... about buying Greenland... inquiry...

Did it include approximate price per Inuit head? Would he like a Diet ****ing coke with it, or regular lines everyone involved in this cretinism obviously must be doing, daily?

How can you not notice just how absolutely retarded this looks to anyone not completely lobotomized?

It's such a festival of completely irrational stupidity it's ****ing surreal.

Ha, the party of peace and tolerance speeks. No, your socialist ramblings have no effect on me. You really pulled out all the stops tho, every little trick in the book. So kudos for going full bore useful idiot on me. Trump is in the real estate business, but your somehow offended he inquired if it was for sale? Do you get offended easily and often over frivolous things? You might want get that checked.

What party is that?   Is she automatically socialist because she is from a foreign country and thinks Trump is stupid?

Exactly. I'm not an American and I had no preferences regarding your political parties or politicians.

(Now I do, because of Trump, who already did a lot of damage to my part of the world too and if he wasn't so ridiculously incompetent, he could cause us very serious problems. He's the consequence of the mindset currently dominating the Republican party. This favour they did to the world with Trump is simply unforgettable.)

When people outside the US are horrified with Trump, it has nothing to do with American domestic political labels. It's because of his word salads and totally unhinged, often bizarrely destructive behaviour.

I'm also morbidly amused with Trumpers, because they tend to copy their idol and keep insisting on things anyone sane in their place would not mention anymore, hoping very hard they'll be forgotten.

Trump announcing he'd like to buy Greenland was hilarious. In disgusting sort of way, since he never even mentioned the Greenland population, like he truly thinks people can be simply sold and bought, like they're furniture.

As I always say, this is more of a psychiatric than political phenomenon.

Here's my point. Just because I ask if your car is for sale does not mean I want to buy it. You may ASSUME I want to buy it, but you don't really know that for a fact. I may just be curious.

@Gromdor yes I know she's from Coatia. I've been here a long time. I don't know which party, but judging by her charming posts, I'd say it's one I don't want to belong to. What I'm pointing out is that going nuclear over frivolous things, much less an opinion, isn't a normal thing and points to an agenda.

Trump have officially acknowledged that he did indeed consider the possibility of buying Greenland. This is not in dispute.

Most people seem to agree that the buying and selling of countries stopped when the colonial era ended.

The "funny" thing in this story is how Trump cancelled an official visit, that he himself had asked for, after the PM's of Denmark and Greenland told that it isn't for sale. Several million dollars had allready been spend by the Danish government preparing for Trumps visit, can we have them back please ?

Maybe he cancelled because of the snipey attitude. I don't know.

What snipey attitude ?

Now tell me again about no land purchases since colonial times.

The colonial era is usually said to have ended in the years following Word War 2. I think you will agree that 1917 is before that ?

I keep getting 1492 - 1763 which is American colonial period. Might be different colonial periods here I don't know.  But regardless, it seems the US has purchased land from Denmark more recently than you're implying.

The years after World War 2 was the time when the last major colonial powers stated to disband their empires. I explained that in a previous post.

How do you think that Trump should have reacted if the Danish PM had asked to buy parts of the US ?

Do you seriously think that I didn't know that we sold the Virgin Islands to the US. Again I made that clear in a previous post.

Are we going to go on like this ? If so I'm out.

Politely said no, without the sniping, like your PM should have done. I was just half joking about it until I looked it up and it turns out it's true lol All she had to do was say no.

All your Trump had to do is ask an adult if he's doing something stupid again, before he did it. Again.

God you cultists are the biggest bunch of snowflakes in ****ing history.

The PM didn't snipe. She didn't even say a negative word about your dear leader. She did discuss the IDEA and how absurd it was but there was no sniping.

Yes u do realise it’s kinda insulting to suggest that in the first place. Like someone coming up to you in the mall, pulling out a check book and asking you what your kids worth. Of course to make matters worse Trump did this openly implying Denmark is for sale.

You’re a republican, still It really is okay to say Trump is stupid.

All fantastic answers to a question that was never asked. No one asked why not.

Honestly while its easy to make jokes I dont have a problem with Trump taking a shot at it. Its his infantile tantrum afterwards that is the quintessential Trump and of course being so is utterly worthy of mocking disdain.

Not sure who gets the stupid award, the one asking or the one answering a question that was never asked. Don't you think you should correct your Denmark is for sale comment? That sounded kinda... well you know.

Well it's easy to make jokes because all humor has truth to it :) yes the mocking distain is why his trip to Denmark was cancelled.

There was no mocking disdain from the Denmark PM , that was kinda the whole gist of my post earlier. She never even mentioned Trump, simply dismissed the idea, and he threw a big orange baby fit and cancelled his trip. THAT is where the mocking disdain from the rest of the world came in.

While that behavior isnt surprising anymore what I am repeatedly stunned by is grown men accepting and supporting this kind of junior high behavior from the most powerful office in the world.

Well actually no, that wasn't how it went down. He asked if Greenland was for sale. The PM said no, and then proceeded to give all the reasons why not, even though he didn't ask why not. No is a perfectly acceptable reply imo. And no doubt she was offended he even inquired about it. I don't doubt that one little bit. Yep, she handled that like a real pro.

So she dared explain reality to the dear leader? HOW DARE SHE???

Again youre a grown ass man. Stop justifying juvenile behavior you would smack your kid in the back of the head for over political expediency.
