Undercover in Patriot Prayer: Insights From a Vancouver Democrat Who's Been Working Against the Far-Right Group from the Inside

It was Ben’s video that helped Portland Police Bureau (PPB) confidently secure arrest warrants against Gibson and five other members of Patriot Prayer who followed him to Cider Riot that afternoon. On August 22, a Multnomah County grand jury indicted Gibson and five other members of Patriot Prayer on felony charges for inciting a riot. Several of the men face multiple charges, including assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

While Ben’s video of the clash is a useful piece of evidence, it’s his footage of the group planning the alleged riot that might put the suspects behind bars. This clip has also been included in a new motion filed in Cider Riot’s civil case against Patriot Prayer as evidence that Gibson had orchestrated the attack.

I needed to find out who Joey Gibson was so I popped that link in just in case someone else didn't know of him either.

Oooh this is the one where the other left wing groups clashed with the right wing group.  They were all having protests/marches on the same day and it ended up in violence.  IIRC Joe Rogan did a podcast on it - and focused on ANTIFA in particular in the interview with that Chinese/American Journo that ended up being beaten by an ANTIFA person.  

Don't you guys have a law there where you're not allowed to film people without their consent?  This kinda reminded me of Project Veritas and their undercover vids with google etc.

It's difficult to keep up with the murky world of conspiracy that you inhabit, Farmer. So this crowd calling themselves "Patriot Prayer" are a bunch of brownshirts very similar to the Sturmabteilung or SA? Or is it just that anyone who incoudes the words "patriot" or "rightwing" or "Trump" must necessarily be a scoundrel?

This particular group has been around doing stupid **** for a while. If you only read about them on foxnews however youd think they are just the frequent victims of Antifa

I think granting them any equivalency to the Sturmabteilung would be entirely too generous however .

yes and no, depends on situation, and state

on the street where there is no expectation of privacy, anyone can take your pic, and you can't tell them not to,   when you record a  conversation, that you are having, depends on a state, in some states all parties have to agree, in 1 party state only 1 party has to know, (usually the one recording) no consent needed from the rest of participants.   different laws apply to surveillance and close circuit television
