Do you know anyone from NC?  Redrawing the lines will make no difference.  That is a republican state.  :sleepy:

3 state superior court judges?  Gerrymandering is something BOTH parties use as one of the spoils of winning elections.  I doubt this will stand on appeal and I'm damned sure it will be appealed.  If it is going to be changed then it will be changed for both sides from this point on.  The Dems would squeal like pigs if they have to deal with this new rule.  Fair is fair.  If it's good for the R's it's good for the D's.

Not forever.  The research triangle brings in quite a diverse group of voters from all over the states and the wider world.  The city of Atlanta alone may someday flip Georgia Blue.  If Gerrymandering is going to be dealt with it needs to be stopped.  Period.  Both parties.

It's just the start. There are many more cases to be judged. Precedence has been set.

It was always "fair".  As I said, it was part of the spoils of winning an election.  BOTH sides use it and apparently, the Dem's message is so bad they can't allow any extra advantage to the R's any more.  Their message sucks unless you are an unskilled, ill educated leech on society.  Facts are facts.  And I don't expect either Party to just let a 3 judge panel permanently remove that goody from their bag of tricks.

They absolutely are. Which is exactly why Rep gerrymander the hell out of districts so that they end up in power when the majority votes democratic.

what a pointless decisionsision, not only it will be appealed, even if it does not, to an average american it wont do anything,  they are just closing one door of getting rich, and will be opening two new ones, somewhere else,
