How would the commander and chief of the US military have influence with the air force?  Oh,....never mind.

He wasn't the commander in chief at the point when the deal was being negotiated. He wasn't even STANDING for president. DO try and keep up @OverSword. (I may set a quiz at the end to see who was paying attention :P )

Best laugh of the day, so far ....

Trump might be better off if he was impeached, then he could perhaps hope that his VP would pardon him.  As it stands now, he doesn’t have a prayer if the Democrats win the White House.

My guess is, Trump will regret leading the chants “lock her up” when it came to Hillary. The Democratic base will be in no mood to allow a pardon.

The Democratic Party where in "no mood to allow a pardon" from the instant Donald Trump announced his intention to run. I don't see how they can get any worse towards him ?

The deal may have been made before Trump was President, but the number of overnight stays for refueling has increased exponentially.

Well of COURSE they have increased; that was the whole POINT of the deal. And they have NOT "increased exponentially". It is a simple linear increase of 200% over 4 years.

If only our predecessors had the wisdom to put a clause in the Constitution to separate personal business from government business then we wouldn't be having to find excuses to pardon this corruption or appearance of corruption.   Oh wait.  They did........

Air Force deal to refuel near Trump’s Scottish resort reportedly signed under Obama

The controversial arrangement by the U.S. Air Force to refuel at a Scottish airport near President Trump’s Turnberry golf resort apparently was signed under the Obama administration, according to multiple reports.

The details emerged as the Air Force was called to explain a March stopover in the Scottish resort -- with Democrats on the House Oversight Committee writing to Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan as part of their investigation into alleged conflicts of interest by the president. The twist revealing that the airport deal predates his administration could boost Trump's case.
